Get help with paying bills or free stuff.

I have learned during the last rain storm that I need a new roof on my home. My husband and I do not qualify for assistance from weatherization because of income guidelines. We are unable to qualify for a loan due to past payment history which is slowly be corrected by bringing our accounts current. No action on our part will result in high $$ damage to our home. Does anyone have any ideas as to what we can do next? Where can we ask for help? Thanks

Many states, counties, and cities have so called home repair programs. They are seperate from weatherization. Please psot your state, and preferably county as well. Will see if I know of any programs in your area.
