Try Project Share for utility bills. The American Red Cross runs the program, and is funded by utility customers who donate through their monthly bills. If provides help with bills, and people need to apply for Project SHARE assistance at the American Red Cross office that is located in their county.

I live in the horible jefferson county alabama, At the beginning of this year I went through alot, the threat of cancer taking over, so I was out of work for a while there, I just started working at the end of july, i am a four months behind on gas, and just as I start to get caught up enough to pay my gas bill, my daughter got swine flu just recently. I have missed too many days at this new job and she has missed out on school, and now I am in fear of my gas getting cut off which means my one year old daughter and my very sick seven year old daughter won't be able to keep warm since it has been getting cooler at night. please is there anyone out there that do anything to help me.
