Bad credit is stopping me from paying rent

I have bad credit and finally a landlord is willing to let my family and I rent from him. I am giving the landlord the 1st month rent of $1350 on Aug. 2,2012 , but I will not have all of the security deposit that's due upon moving in on Aug .17, 2012, and my credit is stopping me from moving to a new apartment or taking out a loan. My children and I are staying with my family right now but I have been paying my sister to stay with her in Stockton. So I will only have $500 towards the 1350 that's due. I have asked my family for help but they're unable to. Can you please tell me how I can or where I can go about to receive help.

About a month ago you guys sent me some information that truly help and I wanted to let you know I greatly appreciated it!!! It helped me pay off some credit cards. Now I am coming to guys in great need of help and or information regarding a particular topic. I am having issues with my landlord and need emergency help! We have lived in this home since January 2012 and have numerous problems including mold. When I approached the landlord with my concerns and findings he said that they would check it out and have done nothing. I have children in the home and we have gotten sick and November I wasn't able to pay rent so the landlord is evicting us and we have to be out tomorrow. I was coming to you guys to see if you had any information that could help me. I need some info on agencies that help get into a home with no credit check and low deposit or no deposit or is willing to split the deposit over 2 months. As of right now we have nowhere to go and I am trying and praying that I can find a home before Christmas. I have recently lost my house in a divorce settlement. I have found out that my ex has not been keeping up with the bills before the divorce and has lowered my credit. Last checked it was at a 641. I have made several attempts to find a new lender that would assist me in getting a new house but have been unsuccessful.
I currently have my 6 children and have been stuck living with my parents. This is getting very stressful and I need to get us back out and on our feet. I cannot afford to pay the $1200 a month rent that they are asking in the Missouri area for something that is suitable for my family. My children are currently enrolled in this school district. I would prefer to buy and start putting something towards our future again. Any guidance would be great as to get out of this situation ASAP.

That is a fairly low credit score. You need to get your 641 number raised, and a free credit counseling agency in Missouri may be able to help. Now not sure if they can help you find a home, but credit counselors may have insight on bill paying programs, debt advice, and even how you can get help in recovering from the divorce as it is a difficult financial time for most people.

Hi, my name is Matthew, I was trying to see if there was a program to help in bringing past rent owed by a property management company to current. As now I have bad credit which is stopping my from renting a place. I used to live in Moore county and now getting a job in the area again but due to a owed debt it's hit my credit and is keeping me from obtaining an apartment for my and my daughters. If you have any information on where to go or who to contact to fix my bad credit I would appreciate it.
I'm starting work on the 12th of this month and in desperate need of a place to live but I recently found out there was a debt owed to Partnership Property Management which is just about every apartment complex in the area.
