Hi,
That is so sad. We are going to send you a couple options / links. First one is for rent payment help in Wicomico County. MAybe they can get you and your kid out of the truck into a home.
As far as the gas/fuel, that is of course not as common. But there are various programs that help pay for gas, so maybe you can find something on that link too.

I am a single mom of an 8-yr old boy currently living in my truck (that has no gas) as we left transitional housing as my 2-yr time is over at the end of August. I am having trouble finding a place to move because of my credit and not making enough. I had heard of a program in MD (Wicomico County) that will pay a partial of the rent, and I would pay the balance for so many months to get out of the truck. Is there a program like this and can you help with fuel for the truck and low-income housing?

We have many programs and information on Tacoma and Pierce County agencies, charities, and places to call for help. Whether they have gas or not, we do not know. But call around and check in with these agencies.
More general aid organization. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/pie ... progr.html

Food banks and pantries, but some may have clothing, personal items, and who knows, maybe gasoline too. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/pie ... tries.html

Low income housing, rent programs. Maybe they can get you out of the truck into more stable housing. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/tac ... tance.html

I later lost my job as the place I was l working went out of business. I was able to get food assistance, but being single with no kids, and no medical problems I wasn't eligible for anything else so I have no money.
Currenlty I am stuck parked where I am because I haven't enough fuel to move my truck any great distance. Luckily I volunteer for my local police department and am able to use their internet to write this request for help.
I have a job lined up but it doesn't start until January 9,2012. and they supply room and board as it's in Dutch Harbor, AK where I once worked.
What I could use right now is fuel. One fill up will last me a long time as I don't drive around too much and if I could get someone to give me enough fuel to last until I leave for this upcoming job, I would be back working, and on the road to better times
Thanks for listening.
