Re: Sewer Line Replacement

I’m really sorry your parents are dealing with this, especially with your dad recovering from a stroke. Sewer line repairs are incredibly expensive, and unfortunately there are not many programs that help directly with plumbing repairs for renters.
Since he’s in Houston, I would try contacting BakerRipley at https://bakerripley.org/ and also checking with the City of Houston housing or neighborhood services departments to see if there are any emergency repair or senior assistance programs available. Sometimes churches or local community groups can also help when it involves unsafe living conditions for an elderly person.
I hope something opens up for your family soon because that’s a really difficult situation.

My father is in Houston TX, zip code 77021. He has a pipe that has busted in his bathroom that needs to be replaced. The sewage line to be exact. He is 70 yrs old. He has rented this house for over 10 years. The last land lord passed away. His daughter inherited the property. However, she's not able to fix the issue do to the extreme cost and replace the sewage line. With that being said, if dad can't get the repair done. He will be forced to move. Mom isn't in a position to make this move at the time. He still recovering from a stroke. Can you please assist Him with getting this replaced or repaired?
