There are many places to get help for her - glad you are trying to support others! Anyhow look here for a food bank near you.

My name is Andrew. I moved to a new city and don't start my new job for about a week and don't get paid for a couple weeks so I can buy even food here. I need help financially to get me by in the meantime. My rent is $380 and I live in northern California and just want to get any information I can on food assistance or other programs.
