Well you can get some advice on dealing with those outstanding bills, and some mortgage/foreclosure counseling in New Mexico. Try speaking to a HUD certified/approved housing counselor. Most of the programs are resources as well as advice is free, if your income qualified you. Hundreds of counselors operate across New Mexico and Albuquerque.

I don't know what to do, I need a way to help her, she is fitting a short term disability case right now and if she wins then she will be ok, but if she doesn't then.....bye bye house and bye bye credit. Please help. We live in Albuquerque, NM and the mortgage is through Bank of America.

What state, as Fannie Mae does have several centers around the nation that can provide free counseling, loan modifications, and foreclosure prevention advice and services. In the meantime, find a ton of mortgage and foreclosure relief programs here. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/hel ... tgage.html
Many options from the federal government, your state, non-profits, and charities can help really anyone pay their home loan and get back on track with their mortgage payments. I think some even support veterans and military personnel. You did ask for help early enough before your July auction, which is great, as most people don't. Just keep calling agencies and looking into programs.

Did you ever hear about mortgage / foreclosure medication? It is basically when a homeowner, who can be your friend, sits down and goes over their situation with their lender. Together you can explore options like modifications, forbearance, and more. Most states now offer mediation type programs, including the Cape Cod area. They will help you get back on track with your mortgage, and hopefully stop a foreclosure. Many of the mediation programs are listed here.

I have a friend named Joyce who has asked me to look for solutions to a serious issue which she is facing. She is going back to the inpatient unit at Cape Cod Hospital. She suffers from mental illness but is very driven to succeed. Now classified as disabled. She managed to buy a condo in September, but then lost her job in September and is afraid of losing her condo and of not being able to pay her mortgage or bills. She needs some type of program to keep her on track with mortgage payments and not foreclosure. Please call her to reassure her in any way you can. Thank you in advance for your prompt reply and assistance. Sincerely
