Mortgage hardship

Post by dab1 »

We are experiencing a severe hardship right now, my husband had a massive stroke and is severely disabled at the age of 49. A year and half later he has not regained his speech and is very mentally & physically impaired. My PPL bill is close to a thousand dollars and winter is here. I am having trouble paying the mortgage and was in jeopardy of foreclosure, we bought the house 2007 and he had the stroke in 2009. I applied for the Obama program from BAC and was given a lower mortgage payment for the next few years, and I am still struggling. There is little left for food and other necessities. I am seeking help with my PPL bill and with food, please. My mortgage is still to high. The holidays are looking very bleek. I have two sons ages 12 and 14, they are so good in school and help me a lot. We could really use some help to get through this.
Sincerely,

that is great that you applied for mortgage help from Bank of America and were successful. Did you try calling them and asking for more help? Usually if you have made those payments on time they will be open to providing further help.
Other foreclosure and mortgage programs in PA include Affordable Loan Program (REAL) as well as Homeowners' Equity Recovery Opportunity Loan Program (HERO)
The government agency that runs these is the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency. Call them for more info, in addition to going back to BOA

Before the home goes to a foreclosure, call some of the agencies in your area of Detroit that may be able to help you save your home and prevent the foreclosure. Many of the services are offered for free to needy homeowners. A listing of foreclosure and mortgage specialists are here. Try places like the Center for Community Justice, phone (313) 832-4788. There are many others as well.

Well mortgage help these days is extensive, especially in California. There are a lot of free foreclosure prevention programs, agencies, and government options. I do not think banks, lenders, or anyone like seeing people lose their homes to a foreclosure. Find mortgage help in California. Look into programs and options like the Fannie Mae Los Angeles Help Center, HUD counseling, and the California Hardest Hit Fund.

To whom it may concern,
I need a Mortgage Program support me with help, since i am not receiving no more unemployment for eight months. I only receiving food stamps. I am in a government program for senior citizens for two days a week doing 12 hours a week. I need help from all sources, especially mortgage bail out, bills and medical. Find other program to help me seek a secure income. I am looking to move out of my house and live in an apartment somewhere around my area in Newark, NJ. The thing is that I only work at a minimum wage job and I have no money to pay for rent on top of the other bills that I pay. Is there a number I can call to ask if I can get help with payment from the government or something?

For dealing with mortgage or foreclosure issues, we almost always recommend free HUD foreclosure counseling. They can help you look into modifications, predatory home loans, and much more. Many counselors can even help people find a new home or apartment to live in. There are counselors in the Newark NJ area too, and find information and details on free HUD mortgage counseling as well as all the agencies to call too.

Yes we can. There are many programs and government agencies in South Carolina that can offer mortgage assistance and advice. They can be found here. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/sou ... e_hel.html The state has several programs, and a big program for SC is known as the Homeownership Resource Center. They operate across the entire state, so can try them in your area of Walterboro.

Hello, (State: GA)
I would like to get more information about your services and to see if my husband and I qualify for assistance. Well in September of this year my husband was let go from his job that he was with going on 5 years. This was our only income coming in, so we had to apply for unemployment and we were approved for that, but due to the drastic drop in our income it caused us to get behind in a lot of our household bill and mortgage. Thankfully, my husband started a new job a month ago and we was able to get caught back up with our mortgage and not face foreclosure, but we are still a little behind with trying to keep our mortgage current and catch back up on our utility bills. Once you start working, unemployment benefits stop! So As of now our gas is off because we are unable to pay that bill right now and we are behind on our electric bill as will. We are not asking for you to pay it all, but whatever you can do would extremely grateful!!! Just some assistance for this month would help us out greatly!!!! So please, please let us know if we qualify or what we need to do or go? Thanks in advance.

I am behind on my mortgage at least 5 months. Our mortgage lender does not want to help..they sent me the HAMP government program to fill out but they said that because they did an in house modification and my interest rate is 2% that I likely will not qualify. The reasons I got behind will be ending soon and all I want to do is get caught up and stay in my home that has been in my family for 4 generations. My mortgage company never sent me a letter telling me that foreclosure proceedings had started. I knew we were behind and called and they told me that foreclosure proceedings had begun. I have $32,000 sitting in my 401K but I cannot touch it until I pay $11,000 off and then I can borrow from it and have enough money to get mortgage caught up. I can get it ahead...refinance mortgage and fix major repairs on my home. Problem with that is I have a poor credit score, filed chapter 13 bankruptcy and it has not been discharged. There for I cannot go to a bank and borrow $11,000 to get mortgage caught up and repair my home. I am a veteran but the only programs the VA has is when a vet is homeless until then they cannot help me. Thank you looking forward to hearing from you.

I lost my job in March and went 3 months without a job and fell behind on my mortgage and my lot rent. They will not work with me on a payment plan and I cannot get caught up. In facing foreclosure and eviction from my lot. I have a job now and can pay my bills. I just can't get caught up. If I could just hey some short term help.
I have 2 little girls in trying to take care of and between working and raising them I only have one day a week to try and get some help. My husband works all the time as well but his pay has been garnished because of student loans. I just really could use some help before we lose our home we have worked so hard to keep. I don't have Internet at my house right now. I don't really know how this can help but I don't know what else to do if someone could help I would really appreciate it and would be forever grateful. Thank you.

Good Morning! I am in need of help with my mortgage payments. I live in Painesville, Ohio which is located in Lake County. I am currently 3 months behind and I haven't had to do this before and I'm not really sure how this mortgage hardship program works. If someone can please contact me and point me in the right direction for possible assistance in saving my home, I would greatly appreciate the information.
Thank you,
