Cash assistance

Post by Schamberg »

My name is Schamberg. I was laid off from my job back on June 5 and have not found employment since then. I have been applying across the country and have an education along with past due bills that I owe. I had to move out of my apartment after being on my own for the last 6 years. I had to apply for medical, food stamps and cash assistance. I was eligible for medical assistance and food stamps but decline for cash assistance. Is there any way at all to get cash assistance cause I just had to pay a phone bill of $134.00 and have no money to my name now? I have been harassed for money and threading to turn my services off. If there is some kind of assistance to get and apply for my bills I would greatly appreciate it as soon as possible

Seems like you need a lot of help. go to the primary site, navigate around, and select you state and city from the navigation bars on left margin. Thousands of phone numbers and agencies are listed. Locate assistance with bills, places to call for free food, and much more. If you have an education the good news is that the unemployment rate for educated people is much lower than those with no degrees.

I read from this that you may be facing an eviction. If so, call a non-profit for low income housing, rental help, and eviction prevention programs and services. Many are run by community action agencies in every state.

Since early this summer around my April birthday, our lives have been going downhill financially. It started with my ex-husband rapidly getting behind on child support due to being unemployed and unable to find any job. Then my only car necessary to get to work died. It ended up being the transmission and a $3200 repair bill. In the meantime, I had to get to work 10 miles away so I rented a car from Enterprise. Even though the rate was reasonable, the longer I kept the rental, the longer it took to pay the mechanic. Ultimately my mechanic let me "rent" my own car and is holding the title til I pay in full. Since August 8th I still owe him 200. I have been paying everything I make toward repair and rental, am close to having utilities shut off, being sued by my town home association for nonpayment and not having a dryer vent inspection done. I'm almost 2 months behind on a newly modified mortgage and I owe more than selling house would net. I filed bankruptcy in 2009 and have no credit. My one friend for 10years who used to help my on occasion bailed because "I'm a *". Who wouldn't be when I have a son to support, a job to get to, no reliable car to get there and living even worse than paycheck to paycheck? If I'm not overdrawn then I have less than $10 in account at payday and have had to borrow gas money to get to work.If my ex husband can't get one job how am I going to get a 2nd job and leave a rebellious 15 year old unsupervised even more?I make a decent paycheck(too much for any public cash assistance) but find myself unable to recover from this over $5000 car expense between repair and rental. I also am going to need new tires riding originals at 92k miles and brakes. I dread getting a blowout on my way to overnight job. I'm losing sleep, getting migraines, and sinking into a major depression. My ex's court date is 12/9 and he is not going to be able to come up with by then $5000 to keep out of jail so I'm that much further behind. We had to opt to drop health insurance for 2012 because it is beyond affordable and high deductible. I have a son in school student but is cracking under the pressure of knowing I may not have the small tuition payment due next month. He has a scholarship but I still have to pay $1500 and books. I've been paying for their medical insurance, braces, and everything else for the better of 10 years since separation. Needless to say, I'm very stressed and can't take much more.Attached is a letter sent to Dr. Drew show and I am trying every which way to get assistance. Got Some help from St. Vincent Depaul with gas bill and food, applying for TRU program for utility assistance. Applied for food stamps no correspondence yet. Over the weekend had to get 2 new tires due to unsafe conditions and have barely any food left and $24 in checking. It seems impossible to catch up especially with chils support in arrears $2400 owe mechanic 200 hundred (he is holding title and can reposs my car) Ex-husband still unable to get job and was just informed I have a medical condition which means more specialists. Been selling possessions at flea market every free day to make it to payday not overdrawn/. Please refer me to any cash assistance available.

A number of national, state, and local government programs can help with those various needs. Our best summary is here and read how to get assistance from government and get a great summary of the programs and plans. Some can offer cash assistance, some debt counseling, and others more referrals. The bottom line is that there are dozens of financial assistance programs offered by various levels of government out there. Make some calls and look around for aid.

What types of bills do you specifically need help with and what state/county do you live in? In order to effectively provide information we need that info, as we repeatedly state on this site. While we wait for more information, explore the main site at http://needhelppayingbills.com
Focus on the links on left side of screen for best navigation tactics.

I need help getting my lights on and getting the insurance on my car and getting my driving license from suspension and the tag on my car. My husband had a heart attack in April of this year and has to have open heart surgery again. He has to have someone stay with him at all times. I got layed off when he had his heart attacks in April of this year. We moved into his brothers house to save money. We had to do some work on it and have it rewired and city had to come and inspect it before we had to have the lights cut on cause none had lived in it for over a year and the city said we had to have it inspected. it will cost us 533.00 to have the light turned on. During this time my car insurance had driving license and tag has expired. my husband cannot work he is disabled. All we need is a little help with this so i can get back on my feet before he has to go back in the hospital to have open heart surgery again. He cant be there with no electric he has to have breathing treatments everyday. im asking for the cash help so i can get back on my feet and most of all for the health of my husband. He has bad health, and i need my car with the insurance, license, and tag so i can take him to his doctors appointments. I am in bad need of help, and im asking you to please help me. Sorry to say, but there are not any assistance programs for paying insurance or providing tags for cars. Just doesn't exist. That being said, maybe you will qualify for other aid, which will free up money for those expenses. Maybe even some ways to pay for those medical bills for your fathers heart attack. Find the Florida programs here. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/flo ... grams.html

I recently had to quit my job as a passing medical tech because of my anxiety. I haven't been seen by a doctor yet. My husband is starting a job on the 29th through a temp service but we are struggling to pay out light bill and our rent and need some help. Our rent is $565 which is due Sept 1st and our light bill is $221 which is due August 23rd. We have two children, and no one to help us. So we wanted to know if there was any way for your services to provide us with some help. We live in Orlando Florida.

I live in Fort Worth Texas. I am currently a COMMON VARIABLE IMMUNO-DEFICIENCY patient with no immune system and I have all medical records of the local hospital. My doctor has also written my partially disability (Unknown and no time limit) on Texas Department of Human Services Form when I was applying for Food Stamps. I was hospitalized 4 times in less than a year with C-diff and Pneumonia and other symptoms. I have recently applied for disability though SSA and my attorney has told me that my case is very strong and I have hearing on October 25, 2012. I have taken 5 times Leave of Absence from my work because of pains and pass out on floors. Please help me for Rent or Utility bill. I am very much empty handed. I have completed my Associates degree from Tarrant County College with 4.00 GPA but no physical strength to work anywhere, I have all medical documents and unpaid medical bills and I would sign any document to request for medical evidence for verification purposes. Please help me for Rent or Utilities.

This past year has been a little hard on us. I'm not giving up on my family-- I will keep sending requests and wait, and wait-- I know everyone can't be HELPED I'm just hoping to be one of the lucky ones that does receive help. I am seeking contributions for to help me with or get me through the rest of the year. I would really appreciate donations in money to help get me through I have been in school for over a year full time and receive food stamps and cash assistance but live month to month doing this and I just can't seem to catch up-- I go to school full time and internship so this takes a lot of my day. I have been fighting for SSI benefits for over a year and I struggle each and every day trying to stay in school-- I have so many appointments because I have a lot of health issues and trying to keep up with life itself is taking its toll, sometimes I feel like I just might NOT wake up the next day cause I run myself bare, hurting each and every night, but I FORCE myself to do it. I can't believe I'm waiting so long to ask for this help-- but I'm EMBARRASSED.. I'm first and foremost a mother and that does mean a lot to me-- these days it is just so HARD... Please- Please help me. I really need this help, I’m trying to get any kind of assistance to get a place to rent-- I don't have money like that to just give. I have cash assistance that I live off month to month, I would appreciate all and any help possible right now. I will take ANYTHING at this point I setup this account but I don’t know if it works- Please let me know even IF you can’t help me.. I do thank you for taking the time to even open and read this email.

My husband has Crohn's Disease and has missed eight days (a full paycheck) this month due to a flare up. He has been to the doctor multiple times and because we are on Medicaid, a referral to a GI has still not been made. I work full time as a Pre-K teacher, but injured my shoulder in September and have been out of works since. I had a shot and started PT in November and am expected to be released March 7 to return to work, however we don't have a dime. And with 3 children, if we get evicted, we will have nowhere to go. I've tried all the charities, no one had funding. We get food stamps and Medicaid, but don't qualify for cash aid because we both work. Please, if there is anything anyone can do, it would be greatly appreciated.

Need light bill and rent assistance. Divorced. Lost job, unemployment exhausted, and working part time sporadically doing private duty home care. Just joined an agency but work is temporary. No car, in SC you need a car to survive. I've been borrowing and getting handouts so far. But now lights are about to get turned off on the 29th and the rent is due on the 5th of May. I can’t even live in my car because I don't have one. Lost nowhere to go don't know what to do. End of my rope. Can use any help I can get. Have many qualifications and experience but due to economy and no car it is hard. No parents grandparents or immediate family to help. Have exhausted all friends and extended family. Help please!
