My name is Ashley. I live in a house in Severn Maryland with my friend and his, now disabled, father. Back in November of 2023 his father was admitted into the hospital and hadn't been home for half a year. He has since returned home but is unable to work and now we are behind on our mortgage.
Unfortunately my friend's grandparents put the house on a reverse mortgage and we are looking for solutions to help us out. We are trying to talk with the company the mortgage was put through to find solutions but are holding out on hope. I am looking for any programs or charities that my help us as we are unable to pay a $198,000 home loan to keep the house.
We have a disabled man living in the house with us and he has been signed up for disability, still waiting to hear from them. Any help, assistance, or suggestions you have would greatly help. Thank you, Ashley Severn Maryland United States.

No idea what the mortgage is (monthly amount not the 198K due), but either way there may be some programs to help you get mortgage relief in MD.
