Franklin County NC financial assistance needed for my family

Good morning,
My husband and I live in Franklin County NC and have both lost our jobs in the recent months. We've always been blessed to have good jobs and have never needed financial assistance before so I am at a loss as to where to turn. Being from out of state we don't have family to turn to for help. I applied for help paying our power bill and was turned down through our DSS. We were approved for food assistance and have been waiting for nearly a month to receive a card but still have not gotten it. We are now nearly starving and most importantly at the moment are days away from our power being turned off which will essentially make us homeless. We're both hard working people and are searching diligently for new jobs but in the mean time I am terrified to think what will come next without financial assistance or support here in Franklin County. Any help or advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
