Money to pay for drug classes as well as rehab

Post by Mr Jose Ferdinana »

Hello,
I need help financially and don’t know what to do. I live in Annandale Virginia and I am 27 years old. I have no insurance. I recently moved into a one bedroom apartment with my girlfriend. Everything is going well except for one bump in the road. Fairfax County Courts have asked me to join an outpatient alcohol/drug treatment center here in Annandale (Living Free Health Services). They have lowered the cost to $35 a class 2x a week with an additional $60 per month for drug screening. Unfortunately if I pay that I will not be able to cover my rent. Please help point me in the right direction. I don’t know what to do.

I just turned 20; my mother died when I was 18, and my father is on drugs. I have worked hard since I was 17 years old, but I cannot get on my feet. I want to move out of the house with my father; he is incredibly irresponsible. He steals my money and spends it on drugs; leaves the power and water bills unpaid and spends money on narcotics instead. I feel hopeless, helpless, and ashamed, and I just need help getting on my feet. My life is an everyday struggle filled with stress and resentment. I only want to better my life; get my life started. Thank you.

Good morning,
I apologize for reaching out repeatedly, but I find myself in a challenging situation needing money for rehabiliation. I understand that many individuals and families are in need of assistance.
Forgive me, if I have sent you a email before requesting help with my rehab and you couldn't help.
I'm doing my utmost to navigate this overwhelming situation to get money to break an addiction of drugs. Balancing the responsibilities of raising three children, maintaining my job, and attending to all the other essential aspects of life without any resources or support has been incredibly difficult.
I've reached out to various resources as advised, but I've encountered limitations.
Many programs' requirements stop individual from getting the help they need. While I appreciate the necessity for such criteria, they don't always account for the complexities of individual circumstances. They rely solely on information and documents, which may not capture the full picture of someone's life.
For the past three and a half years, I've been managing this crisis, and it has taken a toll. I live paycheck to paycheck, $ 285 on food stamps for 4 people, and It's become challenging to plan for the next day, given the weight of these circumstances. I'm functioning the best that I can given the situation with no support mentally or physically. I am sure I've made some mistake along the way in the mist of this situation, but I am trying extremely hard to bring this situation together,
My primary focus has been on providing love and protection for my children, shielding them from the harsh realities of our situation of being abusing drugs and need rehab. Unfortunately, I lack the means to improve our predicament, and I'm holding onto whatever support we can find.
I'm uncertain about what comes after tomorrow, especially if the judge grants eviction to the Phoenix Apartment management and their lawyer. I'm praying for assistance because I want to avoid ending up in a shelter or on the streets.
My urgent need is a place where I can transition with my children, something affordable that allows us to stabilize our lives. I'm reaching out in the hopes that someone can offer help.
Tomorrow's outcome is uncertain, and if the judge approves the eviction, the Phoenix apartment management will act swiftly to remove us. While I understand that we are just one family among many, I'm a single father struggling to find a way forward for my children.

We do have information on free or low cost rehab programs. Some charities may offer support as well as non-profits. The Salvation Army comes to mind, and look here for more information on low income drug treatment programs.
