Felon housing

Post by USOpen »

I am looking for places that allow felons to rent. So far I can’t find anything from any local charity. I can only look in the eastern part of Wisconsin mostly Walworth county I am currently at a halfway house I have a good paying job. My credit is bad due to my brother using my identity in CA. I have called the courts out there they are investigating it. I am limited on time at the halfway house charity and looking for felon friendly places is not easy. I make 696$ a week I work 12 hours a day for 5 days.

I am looking for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath to rent. I’m recently renting a place now but I have to move because the ladies daughter is back in town and I only have a short time to move. I’m on disability and I also have a felony that I had in 2010. If you can help me and tell me what I need to do that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I was looking to get information on housing help. I have a felony from 2006... I am a single mom of 2... 2 years old and 8...I am working to take care of my babies by myself... I am having a hard time finding an apartment or townhouse or anything that will approve me... also many places want a big deposit because of my background so basically I just waist money on application fees... and wasting money is not something I want to do... I can't afford it... I need help and I'm trying to reach out and ask for it...
Please If you know anything I Can do or have any resources or information for me I would truly appreciate it.
Thank you

About to go homeless need to find a place to rent and felon housing.
Currently live Orange county, Orlando, 32808.
So, I'll keep this as simple as I can. I'm a convicted felon, I was accused of downloading illegal pornography. I was innocent and had no idea how certain things managed to find its way to my computer. They were even in a hidden deletion file. Because of that I am now forced to register even though that I'm an innocent person.
I was unable to pay for my freedom in the courts. Innocence requires a lawyer, and it means to pay for one a proper one.
As this distasteful as it sounds I am now labeled as a * offender. I have found it is extremely hard to find a respectable place. ((((( To be clear the people that run S.O. housing have the worst kind of people))))) renting from them and they themselves do not care about their tenants. It is a nightmare renting from Phoenix House, soho and any organization exclusively designed to help out my situation. ((((They prey on the situation to make money)))). I barely feel like a human being and having a having a normal life while having horrible people as roommates even prevents me from even having a relationship, understandably.
I personally am getting kicked out of my room because I cannot get along with my roommates and there is nothing that I can do as felon housing is hard to come by.
I've tried everything, even getting some of them to speak the truth of the matter but everyone covers themselves or pretends to not know anything. I'm heading for eviction. Before this I was a college student with a promising future all I wanted to do was make myself better and my surroundings now I just want to feel human again.
Please, is there any place available that you can help me out with for renting housing for a felon, maybe second chance area. I do not want roommates I don't care if it's a shoe box. I just want to feel safe and secure and I want to be able to invite people over without them being afraid and most of all I want to feel like I'm somewhat normal again.
I'm able to pay $800 to $900 a month could you not have first and last month's rent and I do not have money for a security deposit.

We do have many resources listed for ex-felons, whether housing or job training and non-profits to help reacclimate to everyday life. There are also government programs, and find hardship grants for felons.
