Need help with utilities and not a waiting list

I need help paying my electric and getting my gas turned back on. I applied for USF, but they said it will take 6 to 8 weeks. It is getting cold and I don't have any heat or hot water and my electric is close to getting cut off. I lost my job, my unemployment ran out, and I haven't been able to find a job. Please tell me where I can get help. I have 8 year old twins and no one that can help us. Everywhere I go has a waiting list.

Now we are not quite certain what USF is, but many utility companies offer plans to their customers, and they don't generally have waiting lists to sign up or those energy bill programs. So you can call upon them for suggestions. Many times the customer service representative can sign someone up over the phone, and find more information on energy bill assistance programs.
