Main water pipe

Post by L14 »

Need help regarding unexpected repair bill. Main water pipe leading from house out to the street has dropped away from street connection. Am told it is homeowner's responsibility. Quoted $6500 as cost to repair. Don't have anything
near that much to pay for it. Live in Omaha, NE and had to declare bankruptcy 6 years ago but have been current on all bills since then. Are there any programs, angels, anything to help with repair bill like this?

If you have a problem with water pipe, did you call the water company? Depending on exactly where the problem is they may be the party responsible for fixing it. Who said it was homeowners responsibility? Try this link for local programs.

You may want to look into weatherization. Also some community action agencies may be able to write a low interest loan for home repairs. While it is a loan, the interest rate will be very low and thus save you substantial money.

Some community action agencies in Wyoming may offer home repair programs, loans, etc. Or maybe try weatherization. But that will not help with your water pipe. Maybe LIHEAP can also assist in Wyoming with the boiler issue. Anyway, maybe try those government programs, and find applications to Wyoming community action agencies as well as their phone numbers.

Had to move out of my rental home due to the fact that the rental agency failed to tell me that the house was in foreclosure. Me and my 3 kids are currently staying with my mother, but need to move out due to the fact that she has been having issues with a main water pipe leaking in her house. She currently has no kitchen and is in need of getting a few rooms redone due to a burst pipe that has caused water damage to her home.

Hello:
Thank you so much for providing this service and a point of contact. My name is Maria
and I am a 75 year old widow and my main water pipe burst. Recently pipes burst in my home, causing significant water
damage. My garage and kitchen wall was knocked out, as well as a portion of the ceiling in
my kitchen and living room, and one of the bathrooms. The cost, even with insurance, which
only covered a small portion of the drywall, is astronomical and I cannot afford to pay the rest
of the bill.
Ir is about to be fall now, and I am afraid that field mice will enter my home and start living in
the walls and destroy my home. I need desperately to get those walls plastered, installation
and a portion of my gutters is sagging and will be need to be repaired within the next two weeks,
or I will freeze in here and have too high a heating bill.
I would really appreciate it if you could help me with the repair or the repair costs and fixing the main water pipe. You may
contact me today. After today, on my landline
God bless you for all of the wonderful Christian work that you do.
