Hello, my name is Paul III. I'm a veteran of the US ARMY as well as a Massachusetts resident and I live in Fall River. My wife and i are expecting twin girls soon. I'm not too sure what I'm supposed to put in this email but here goes.
I was discharged from the army on the date of 4/16/2019 with a service related injury (I have my records). Until just recently I was not able to find stable work because of my injury. I received surgery from the Jamaica plain VA in Boston MA December 2019. I am also waiting for results from JAGG about my discharge. I am having twin girls before or on August 7th 2020. I want to be able to provide for my family. My fiancé will be out of work within the next week or so and I would very much like to receive some help with my rent if possible. I work for Anodyne elderly services. Just in case you needed my employer’s name. I am available to speak with around the clock I also check my emails thoroughly through the day.My cell is (401) 391-5337

Hi, how are you? My name is Victor and I was wondering/ hoping that I am able to receive some assistance on paying my rent? Or bills etc. My wife and I have twin girls on the way.
Honestly any grant or assistance id be extremely grateful for. Like others this COVID has really made me struggle and I need help, and the twin girls will make it much harder. I will hopefully be making money again in few months but until then I have zero and really struggling. Bad. And I don't want to be thrown on the street. Any help or advice to point me right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time and I hope to hear back.

Hi! My name is Regina. I live in Opp, Alabama which is in Covington County. I lost my job on October 22, 2023. I had been managing a store for over 5 years and didn’t see me losing my job in any way coming.. My husband has been out of work due to health problems for about 5 years and how we have twin girls due soon.
But my husband has always found small, odd jobs to do when I get behind on bills or something unexpectedly comes up. I know less than a month of me being unemployed doesn’t sound very long to put a family in a financial bind, but it has. We have 5 children; a 13 yr. old son, 11-year-old son, 7-year-old daughter and twin girls that are 2 years old. Tomorrow I will get my first whole week (40 hour) paycheck, but I’m puzzled as to where to even start trying to get caught up on bills.
I was told to call our local OCCAP office to see if they would be able to help with utilities, but they told me they’re out of funding until they do their winter help which I believe she said would be in January. I started calling around trying to find where I could get help with my children’s Christmas. I called our local chamber of commerce 6 times within 2 weekends trying to find out where to go, I called some churches that has sponsored the local Christmas drive in years past and was told they wasn’t doing it this year and was unsure who was, I messaged my children’s school counselor and she was not aware of who was doing it.
After 2 weeks of calling the city chamber of commerce and leaving messages because nobody ever answered I finally received a call back and was told that the previous day was the last day for signups at Westview Baptist Church in Opp. She gave me the number to call and see if they could help my kids in, so I called and was told I missed signups and they weren’t helping anybody else, even with my twin girls soon coming
I have called our county, (Covington) Department of Human Resources and the caseworker I was transferred to couldn’t tell me where I could go for help. I will be able to at least keep our utilities paid being I do have a job but I’m not seeing how I’m going to be able to buy my children anything for Christmas this year. Is there any help you might be able to provide for my children. I’ve only had to get help 1 other time with my children since I became a mom in 2008 with girls that were twins. We have always managed to provide for our children so I’m lost as to where else I can go to find help. If you can’t help me, can you point me in the right direction? Thank you!

If struggling now, and have twins coming / pregnant again, that is not a financially stable situation. You will need to make some drastic changes, as sadly too many people have kids (and continue to do) when they can't even afford them. It is a tragedy for the kid(s). We have a host of resources listed, including job training, jobs for single parents, etc. But you probably need to take drastic action, like move in with family or anything to give yourself time to get stability.
