Good Morning,
I was wondering if there are any places that offer free clothing assistance to women in the Ayer Massachusetts area for people on SNAP. I do not have a car so anything accessible by train or bus would be helpful to get to a free clothing bank.
I have been out of work with an injustice since January and have no income at all except for SNAP. Any information you can provide me will be helpful.
Thank you for your assistance.

Good morning. My name is Melissa. I am a working grandmother raising my 4 grandchildren and we get government aid including SNAP. I do receive a stipend check of 621 a month to help with expenses, food and medical until they are 18, but that is all. I try very hard to provide for them but sometimes it is very difficult, and right now we need clothes.
School is starting soon and with all the student fees and extra costs at the Oak hills school district and the fact that I will lose a few hours a day picking up and dropping off and gas. I am worried about several things that seem basic to most people. Like coats and boots and back packs. I've been able to provide the very basics, but I am not sure if I can get any of these things in time for their needs. I know many people are in worse shape than us and I do donate to help with outgrown clothes etc... They are just growing extremely tall very quickly and now we need new clothes. Lol
I know I am rambling so I will get to the point. If you know of clothing closets places for people on SNAP benefits that can help us with coats, boots and backpacks please let me know. Also, multiplication flash cards or reading help for my 10-year-old.
He has overcome most of the physical problems of the torticollis he has but we are still struggling to mentally and emotionally get him to where he should be. He is 10 but is more like a 6- or 7-year-old. He is very tall at about 5'8 already (his father was 6'11) so a lot of people do not understand how young he is. Also, I am trying to find him a new or used mattress. The other children are 12,15 and 16. They are exceptionally intelligent 2 they say are gifted. But we are still dealing with the emotional craziness they have had to endure. All I can do is try to keep them as stable, safe and loved as I can using SNAP food stamps and charities that give us help or cl So, any help or information you could provide us with would be greatly appreciated.

A clothing bank / closet is available to anyone - whether they are on SNAP or not. Now some many have income restrictions or limited supply, but usually free clothes are passed out as well as other goods.
