Get help with paying bills or free stuff.

My mom died and she took care of me. We never talked about what would happen if mom or dad had passed away and what would happen to me. I am sick as had 9 surgery's and I still have seizures and don't know if we will be able to live in the house. But I have every receipt from shopping from the last 5 years and mom spent so much of her money taking care of me.
I just wonder if their is any other assistance I could get because the proof of every cent I get each month with SSI and my bridge card could be shown. Then now with mom gone she would buy any milk, butter, eggs and the other cold things and honestly it is $167.00 to 175.00 in things that I will have to be buying a month more. That's where she was working at nights and that night of the 5th she got rushed to the hospital from their and died!
If there is anything let me know. I have a list and it has what I am going to make for dinner for the month and mostly homemade snacks planned for the month. That is cheaper as I had high blood pressure and cholesterol too, but this past month I was cleared of all that.

Since you have had multiple surgeries, it sounds like you needed a caregiver for being disabled. If so, try a state agency for help, in particular agency on aging center. Since you have a bridge card, that means you live in MI? Correct? December 6. My neighbor in Conover, NC began to stumble. December 20 his legs stopped working. His arms and hands were next and a nightmare began for him, for his wife and their 8 year old son.
A tentative diagnosis of Guillain-Barre sent the son from Frye Emergency Room to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem where a spinal tap confirmed the diagnosis of Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Immunoglobulin therapy was begun right away but his condition continued to deteriorate so the son progressed to plasmaphoresis. He was hospitalized for 7 weeks before passing away, underwent multiple therapies and is now at home.
His wife is full time caregiver for him who is still unable to walk or care for his personal needs. She is also a full time mom and is sole support for the family and the only help she has is his aging and ill father.
A paralyzed husband, ailing father-in-law, son with severe asthma leave no time to address her own health issues. The caregiver needs to do three loads of washing daily, meal preparation, feeding and cleanup, school functions, homework, football practice and games plus a full time job leave little time for even sleep. The mom is about to loose her job. The son's sudden life threatening illness is overwhelming on so many fronts and now all income is in jeopardy.

when caregivers die that can be very sad. We recommend the North Carolina Agency on Aging office, as there are many. They can help you get a new caregiver or other support. they can care for your personal needs too.
