Rental/Utility Assistance

Post by natalie »

Please I need help with my rent/utilities until my SSI comes thru! I was diagnosed with MS in 2010. I am now on a regular medical treatment but am unable to work. I have retained an attorney to help me with the process of filing until my claim is accepted. Until then my daughter and I are unable to make ends meet. I am receiving food stamps at the moment until my short term disability is exhausted which will be 10 more weeks. Her unemployment has run out and she is trying to find a job but until then I owe this months rent (November)

Please help if you can!

As we say every time, what state? Most assistance programs are local. Until we know that almost impossible for us to provide any information. Until we know more find your state, then county, suing this resource.

My uncle say ask me to come to state and now he ask my daughter and me to leave. I am only getting 177 from the state I couldn’t save any money because my daughter need things. $177 don’t last for a month and I have to pay for my medications for my face. I only been in the state for 3 months now. I just got hired at Wendy but only part time so looking help for rent, light just need help, cause my uncle is trying to kick us out ASAP. He thinks I can live off $177 and the part-time job and the manager who hiring me so I might get only 15-20 a week, maybe less than that. He is mean toward me for no reason, I pray to the lord every day. Please help if you can, to get in a apartment, getting my light turn on. I just need help to get my feet in the door, right now I’m looking for a second job for overnight or evening. Again please help if you can.

Our rent is 600 a month and we also pay utilities - garbage, electricity. My husband works full time and doesn't make much. We have to split up our rent into two payments of 300 a month. And it feels like were barely scraping by every month. Our landlord isn't too happy either. I am a stay at home mom to a 15 month old little girl. Do we fit in any category to be helped with rent and/or utilities help. Thank you.

Help with my rent and power, I make around 960.00 a month. My bills are 445.00 rent, up to 160.00 on power in the summer. I have COPD so I have to keep the air around 76 or 78. I need it lower but can't afford it. I am have Car insurance, Medical expenses (over 70 mile drive to specialist) and more. My prescriptions, personal care items. Not to mention food I just have nothing left and nowhere to turn.

I need help paying my rent and possibly electric bill this month. Normally I have no problem paying my bills in full on time every month, but I was on a LOA from getting hurt and am on restrictions at work. So unfortunately I don't work. I have light duty available for my 11 hour shift but they send me home early. I am in desperate need as I am a single mother of an autistic 3 year old son. Please help.

If you are on leave of absence (LOA) then try FMLA. It is a short term disability program. It can pay you while you recover. Good for you in going back to work though...even if not at full capacity.
