We do not have programs specific to Warren County, but here are other Virginia programs. Maybe pick a neighboring county, or look into the statewide resources we offer. Probably can't get help with insurance, but utilities and rent are much more feasible to find aid for.

I was widowed in 2008. I was left with a small amount of money my husband left me so I bought the home. I was ripped off by carpenters and all the repairs still have not been done. This year my 2003 Honda CRV was totaled by the other man's insurance was not given much so I decided to try and fix my sons 1972 Toyota, big mistake it needs too much repair and I do not have anymore money. I have applied for SSI disability because of lupus, mental problems that I see a therapist for. I have a $744 home insurance bill I can't pay, $117 electric bill, $150 mortgage, can't afford anything any more because I have no income and no one to depend on for help. I get turned away in my county for any kind of help except food stamps that I am grateful for. Also my air conditioner is not working and the cheapest price I found was $400. I am at the end of my rope and going out of my mind. It is every month. I worry all the time. Please please need help!

That is quite an extensive list of needs. We think you just need to explore our main site and review all of the resources we have. We have information on all of those needs you have, including mortgage, utilities, food stamps, and general public assistance. Anyway, find more here. http://needhelppayingbills.com/index.html

My son did black ops 10 years ago (he is now 42) when his helicopter was shot down on 2 separate congressional escort missions. He was told even then he should use a wheel chair. But he was a colonel & a black belt with 7000 men under him. He sucked it up & went on many more missions but then was captured & torched.
Black ops then was considered private employment outside of the regular marines. Now there are many different types of black ops divisions (they now get veteran benefits) because of age old severe injuries gets worse with age not better. My son now uses a motorized wheel chair to get around and relies on SSI from the government. He was trying to work as a real estate agent but 3 years ago he had an accident when his motorized wheel chair he tapped a sliding glass door to his office that was normally never closed. Because it was NON-safety glass he was cut severely, especially his right arm. (He is right hand dominate).
Well after two surgeries, physical therapy, pain, medical bills, loss of work & money. The bills have added up-he cannot use his right arm or hand. I am his care giver. I try to help him as much as I can. (He is on $1050/month government SSI). I have MS& RA and also on limited SSI. He really needs some financial (short term ) help to get back on his feet. His older 2005 Subaru has needed a lot of work to keep it running. It also has his wheelchair lift on the back of the car. If you can think of any suggestions, please call.

There are special programs, including SSI disability, for veterans. The federal government offers them cash grants, counseling, and financial aid. Maybe there is equipment too, such as a new motorized wheelchair for him as he is a hero. If you care for your son on a full term basis, you can also get paid for that. But try the disabled veteran programs for you and your son.

In addition to SSI payments (which can take time to be approved) there are a number of loan programs for the disabled. The funds can fill a short term need. But be sure you have money coming in to pay off the loan before the interest and debt builds....so be very cautious when using this form of financial help. Of course the government SSI program is the best option. Find the loans here. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... abled.html
