Medical specialist

Post by Brandon »

Hello,
I'm reaching out for help for my family. I recently gave birth to my first, last and only baby 6 months ago. I gave birth to a baby boy. When I was 27 weeks I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and my baby had to be delivered at 28 weeks.
Preeclampsia can be deadly cause the blood pressure to rise and attack internal organs. I thought the birth of my baby would be a cure to my condition but after birth, at 7 weeks postpartum I advance to eclampsia and was hospitalized and treated from there my health has gone downhill. I never had any chronic illnesses before and now I suffer with hypertension, I'm pre-diabetic, I have severe migraines, and I have GERD and chronic acid reflux which causes dysphasia. I also have gallstones and a hernia which have to be removed in March. I also have a pinch never which causes chronic pain in my body.
I now have to see 7 specialist I'm seeing a cardiologist, neurologist, orthopedic doctor, ENT doctor, physical therapy and general surgery doctor oh one more a gastroenterologist. I'm at the doctor’s office or hospital at least twice a week for the past 6 months. I've been admitted 4 times and been to ER over 20 times.
Needless to say but I've been suffering. My husband and I only have one vehicle which is a cargo van that's going to give out on us any day now. He has to take me back and forth to the hospital with our new baby sometimes in the middle of the night. This has been the most awful time in my life when he should be a celebrated time. I'm so scared because I'm at high risk for stroke now and heart attack.
I'm the bread winner and haven't been able to work because of my health and my husband can't work because he has to take care of the baby and take care of me while running me back and forth to doctors and hospitals. I'm worn out but I'm still fighting an uphill battle. We are renting a 2 bedroom apartment and our rent is $650 a month, our gas is about to get turned off because we have a $4,000 bill we can't afford, our cell phone bill is over $200 and my husband makes money here and there doing odd jobs or winning lottery drawings.
We're struggling and is 3 months behind on rent. We owe on our medical bills. My husband has a pride issue and is afraid to asking for help. I can't let us suffer like this with a new baby so I'm reaching out for help. Can you please help us? I'm scheduled for surgery in February and can't have peace with our lives falling apart and I feel like it's my fault. We need help. Please call me.

For that list of conditions, including Preeclampsia and others, as well as the bills that are resulting from them, try a medical billing advocate. They know the ins and outs of the industry.
They may have ideas for you on other medical care in your region. As seeing doctors over 6 months can be expensive. The advocate can also be sure you are billed correctly by your provider.

I filed for bankruptcy in September, applied for unemployment when I lost my job due to medical issues and have been behind on my rent. I have been making payments but the management company wants to have the court grant them the right to move forward with eviction proceedings. The bankruptcy Judge also said I still owe money for the health care I received as well as the bills from the specialist. I have a small amount of money to pay them and was blessed enough to be offered a job on Friday. I just need assistance getting back on my feet. People like me fall through the cracks. Please offer any help or advice possible. Thank you.

I had carpal tunnel release surgery in 2013 on my left hand. Workman's compensation denied me so I filed disability due to the advice on a medical specialist. In November of 2014 I had the same surgery on my left hand. I knew workman's comp. would deny me again so I just filed disability. THEY have denied me. I haven't gotten a check since November and my husband is on S.S. disability. What do I do?
