Need to pay for upcoming surgery

Post by Bobcats »

NEED NECK SURGERY. SINGLE PARENT. NEED PRAYING FOR ADVICE ON FINDING RESOURCES. I am in the process of lining up neck surgery for June 2012. I am 41, a full time student also working with three teens, just trying to get my bachelors to find financial stability. Have degenerative disk disease which has made it difficult to get through each day. I have never received any child support and just need help getting through today through the day I am able to finally work(Praying!)and I will lose our apt without ant financial help. Please if anyone has any advice or "prayers" I would be forever grateful. Thank God for my boys who do so much to help me with simple chores and keep me positive. I am scared that we will lose what I have worked so hard to get, as we have had some serious challenges in getting my new found my strong faith and love for God, our own home, and I know this is all in God's plans for us, but it is hard not to be a little scared financially too when I can't work at all and feel so much pain. Thank you for your time. God Bless!

While we at needhelppayingbills are not doctors, we assume neck surgery most require a specialist. So a clinic probably can't do this, but you can call and ask a community clinic in your area for advice or suggestion. Also be sure to explore all federal government options like medicare and Medicaid, as often times the government may have some programs or funding, even for a complicated surgery like neck care. We assume you are not working now, so does disability or unemployment help pay for some of those housing costs and apartment rent? While we wait, look here for more information on government health care.

I was online today looking for help after the hospital, where I was scheduled for a total hip replacement, called to say unless I pay $34,000.00 up front, my surgery has been cancelled. I have a cement antibiotic spacer in place now that was done on January 3, 2012. Followed by 5 weeks of Vancomycin IV BID via PICC line. Prior to that I had hardware removal on the 29th of November 2011. I had a ORIF d/t Fx left hip done in March 2011 and developed an infection. I have no insurance and have been out of work. Subsequently I owe over $75,000.00 right now besides the $34,000.00. The hospital says the total hip is not an emergent surgery. I cannot work as an LPN[or anywhere else] and unless I work I can not pay! I have applied for SS disability and they tell me they are working on the claim. Ohio will not give me Medicaid unless I am deemed disabled by SS. It is very frustrating and depressing.I am wondering if there is any help for a 49 yr old that needs this surgery in order to recuperate and get back to work! I would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thank you in advance for your help. Sincerely,

A few things in addition to the healthcare issue. You may want to look into some type of debit or credit counseling for those bills, as they are very high. Many clinics operate across Ohio, so maybe they can provide you with free or low cost health care. As far as the Ohio public assistance and social services, there may be some programs like Medicaid or other government or public health insurance that may be able to help you in your situation. These would be in addition to any SSI disability that you may be currently receiving.

Greetings,
Hello, I'm trying to find help for my daughter who needs surgery as soon as possible. She has many varicose veins from a pregnancy, but one of the veins needs an unique operation so that it stops major pain. She was sent to a well known specialist who said that he could help but that it would cost 2,800 cash upfront because she doesn't have the insurance. She is financially strapped. She and her husband both work (her part time because she has three kids, and he full time and they just barely goes over the line to get a medical card. One of her children has severe ADHD as it is. Is there anyway you can help her? If you can't help, can you steer us to someone who might be able to? Thank you!

I’m going to need help getting started in rent and some bills. Link card was cut when I tried to help my landlord to get some help. He was afraid he would have to pay taxes on the 200 dollars I pay in rent along with my own bills and medications. I get 791.00 at the first of the year and it goes not far, the money I pay him is used for cigarettes. I am getting a gastric bypass 1 /2/13 and the doctors and nurses tell me if there is no support at home to help me threw it. I am suppose to get away from the negative around me or in won't work. He is already complaining about I won't be able to fix his food for the first few weeks. I need to get out so I can take care of my. Please Help me. I’m a diabetic for about 20 years. I’ve got one grandchild and want to see more. I know I’m asking a lot to do have a small dog that I don’t want to leave beside, for safety. I was raped once when I was young and even if I am older it still makes me afraid unless I have a dog. Please try to help me. My surgery is April 2nd 13, the first month I can't be left alone.

Hello, I am reaching out to anyone that will help my friend pay for her emergency surgery. She is 34 years old and is a single mother of 3 children. She has a large tumor on her ovary that is hemorrhaging. The Doctor has ordered immediate surgery this Wednesday, 06/26/2013, but until she has reached her deductible they will not do the surgery. She needs approximately $3000.00 dollars more to pay off her deductible. Please help her. Thank you for all of your assistance in this matter and God Bless.

Have you explored any indigent or free medical care programs? While not sure if they deal with fibroids, in general a number of government supported and even non-profit clinics can help the less fortunate and low income. Many even provide assistance to the under insured and people who completely lack health insurance. Since you have children then that may help you qualify for various free medical programs. Then try the information we have here. http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/get ... _care.html

My name is Stephanie and I was trying to research on how to get extra help during a very stressful time. We need help to pay for an upcoming surgery. I live in upstate New York, Oneida county. During this pandemic I have been an essential employee, however, my shift is a part time schedule, so I was working 20 hours a week. I understand this has been a very difficult time for all! Since the beginning of this virus I have been making minimal payments on all of my bills, as my income was decreased by hundreds of dollars bi-weekly. Unfortunately, I just found out I'm in need of a very serious surgery scheduled in October, my Dr has taken me out of work due to more stress on my body prior to surgery.
I know I should receive a small disability check but I am unable to cover my basic bills. We are a family of 5 - my fiancé is disabled- I have twin 13 year old sons and a 10 year old son. Winter is right around the corner; I don't know how I can purchase appropriate clothing for my family when I can't even cover my bills. Can you please help me get into contact with someone who could help point me in the right direction for my financial hardship for the upcoming surgery? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your time.

Try free community clinics in NY. As there are some in Oneida too. While they will not give you money for the surgery, maybe they can do it for free or a lower cost. Learn more on free clinics in NY.
