Need clinics that offer free health and dental care

Post by Cincy »

I am a case worker for an Native American Tribe of Nebraska and am aware of the community clinics in our area, but have run into brick walls finding any help for non-Medicaid eligible individuals with health issues. Seems like local health care needs are going unmet. I have clients who need kidney dialysis, periodontal services and other chronic medical conditions. What other resources or local community clinics are available? Services can be specifically for Native Americans or for the general population.

Here is our listing of clinics. As you indicated most do have qualifications that need to be met, but need to call around to each clinic for details. Find our listing of health and dental centers and clinics here.
http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/free_clinic.html Nebraska is listed, as well as surrounding state too. Many offer dental services too.

Hello
I have contacted so many churches, charities, different organizations, tried to call Baylor University and have had no luck what so ever. I found this address and hope I get a positive response. I emailed so many places with > little very few responding, those who did let me know of places that I have already contacted, just more dead ends. I have even been denied state assistance and don't know what more to do or where to go. I hope that you can help me or let me know what my choices are. You would think that by me putting SUPERGLUE in my mouth someone might see the danger and offer to help someone in my position. If I don't get help soon then I do believe that this will cause me so many other health problems and continue to deplete my self esteem. Please read what I have below and sent to so many trying to get help. Is there anyone in the world that still has heart? I live in Dallas Texas. I am in need of dental work. I super glue teeth in because I can't afford dental expense. I just started a Temp Only job on that will end on July 1st then I go back to collecting unemployment until November unless I get another job assignment. I have been laid off my previous job since October 2010. I don't have insurance and I struggle each week to survive. I would like to know if I would be able to get help with my dental issues. I have been told by two different places I need all my teeth extracted and dentures. Please HELP ME I am in desperate need of dental help, I have a lot of loose teeth and like I mentioned before I super glue two plastics teeth in the front due to losing the real ones. I am embarrassed to even let other know what lengths I go through just to have front teeth. I am depressed over this entire ordeal. I have emailed over 25 dentist for help only to be denied. I also have been denied help just recently from another church in the area. Some days I just feel like checking out of this world because all my struggles. Thank you,

Is that Texas, as that is where we think Baylor is. Please advise. If it is, then we have information on free medical care in Texas for people that are uninsured. If you were layed off in 2010, have you filed for say Medicaid? Most of the free care is more for medical needs, so not sure if they would cover your dentures. Anyway, you will need to call the resources we have listed. The health programs in Texas for those who are uninsured can be found here. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... nsure.html

Hi, thank you in advance for your help. As a child I was in a terrible accident and lost my 4 adult front teeth, I have a plate. Due to this I am having trouble with other teeth. I have 2 that are cracked in half and 2 that are broke at or below the gum line. I do receive SSI for a disability. If you could please direct me to a dental clinic or othro clinic that is low cost for low income.

Hi, My grandmother is in desperate need of dental care. She is 65 years old and she is a diabetic who also has high blood pressure arthritis neuropathy and a long list of other ailments. She adopted me at the age of 18 months and she’s worked hard her whole life to provide us with all that she could she is wonderful person with a giving heart that will do anything for anyone even if that meant giving her last.
She’s been on disability for about 13 years now and since she’s stopped working her whole financial situation has made a turn for the worse. She now lives day to day not being able to pay her monthly bills on time at times she cannot buy her medication and can not afford to purchase monthly food. My family and I do all that we can to try to assist her in any way that we can but at times we just cant do enough and when it comes to her teeth we cant help at all.
Her teeth are so broken it cuts the insides of her mouth she often gets thrush due to being a diabetic she also gets terrible infections leaving her face extremely swollen and discolored. It has now gotten to the point where it hurts her to eat anything even mashed potatoes.
We’ve contacted her health insurance department of aging the health department and many other agencies that offer dental assistance but none them were able to assist her. Either it was that they were out of funding or wasn’t equipped to handle the severity of her situation or even required a co pay which she cannot afford to pay despite what this is doing to her we were told without all her teeth being extracted the infection would eventually reach her blood stream and cause her to pass away and being a diabetic doesn't help the situation any. Please help her in any way possible with dental, food, and or utilities. Thank you and God Bless

Your best options for a diabetic may be federal funded clinics. But as you said, a clinic will not handle very serious dental issues....only minor ones. If your 65 year old grandmother needs a specialist, then you will need to pay for some of that care. There is no getting around that. But look for a sliding fee clinic. Or look into a diabetes center in your town, and locate federally funded medical clinics.

Hi,
None of the free medical places on your website help people if they have no income. I just tried calling them to get help for my arm which is injured and getting worse. They said I had to pay eighty dollars and get a notarized letter saying I live at my parent’s house sometimes. I don't have a job and can't find one and had to come to Vegas since I lost my house.

You can't even afford 80 dollars for a clinic? Ask your parents if you live at home. You must have zero expenses. Do something positive. And apply at one of these free community clinics in Arizona.

.Hello, I am reaching out to Saint Vicent de Paul or any agency you may know of that can help with dental or medical. I am disabled, live alone, do not drive, and have no family in the U.S. I need a free clinic.
My only source of income is through SSI. My Medicaid doesn't cover dental care - only if the problem was caused by an accident. I have had a splintered, painful, loose molar on one side, and an abscess with an exposed root and massive infection on the other. I can hardly eat - it affects my chewing. I went to the Emergency Room at UMC on Friday, the 8th. The pain extended to my jaw and neck, my blood pressure was 178/91. I was prescribed antibiotic for 14 days - but need 2 teeth pulled and after care.
The problem is, I cannot afford even a sliding fee scale or payment plan, even an office visit at a low- income dentist costs more than I have. The Baptist " free" clinic is closed until later in August and the Rotary Clinic only takes the 1st twenty people on a triage basis, Saturday mornings - taking two buses, I wouldn't get there on time. My name is Annette, I am 58 years old, Thank you.
