Multiple surgeries needed

On March7th, 2011 I was hospitalized due to high blood pressure while being pregnant. The doctors were concerned for the babies health as well as mine then the nurses came in to prep me for surgery. I had a small baby then, and she weighed a whole 5lb 8.7oz and was only 18 in. Then tragedy strikes again on the 11th as 2 nurses walk into my room and tell me that my new son Randolph has a perforation in his stomach intestine and have stopped feeding him also they will be transferring him to a hospital in White Plain NY to undergo possible surgery...and all this was to happen right away. Well as you can imagine my husband and I were devastated with the not knowing what might happen. I spent one month and three days in White Plain pretty much living out of a suit case spending my days at the hospital by my sons bedside and worrying about my husband back at home which was an hour and a half away. My husband would try to come up every weekend as long as he wasn't working and usually one of his siblings provided the cash needed for him to do so. On the 11th of March my husband had just left me alone in a new city at the bedside of our little son...not even two hours later I get a phone call from him stating that he had just been in a pretty serious car accident...talk about more than one can bare...Finally on April 14th, 2011 Randolph and I were able to come back to another hospital and that is where we all remained until April 1st, 2011. However, approximately 3-4 wks before we were able to bring our son my husband was hurt again in a car crsh and I was once again rushed to the hospital to have yet another emergency surgery. My husband had lost several hours at his job and we were really feeling it through his paycheck. Now while all this was going on my husband was hurt and he went to the doctor and through an MRI of his back we found a blown disc, two intruding discs and an extruding disc...so were referred to a spine specialist in a town that is apporx. 30 min away...we don't have any money and his workmen's comp denies his claim because he didn't report it right away...but keep in mind he had his wife and son in a hospital that was thirty min. away from him and he was trying to keep things going at home with his two daughters from a previous marriage he had alot going on. Then on July 6th after three installments of epidurals that didn't work the spine specialist referred us to a back surgeon in another city. So my husband has been off of work for 3 mo due to this problem the spine specialist told us also that on top of all of the other problems with his back they also have found that he has a cracked vertebrae. The spine specialist has also told him he should not return to his current job which has made my husband very depressed even to the point of suicidal at times because he loves his job. So now we are just waiting on the spine surgeon which our appointment is on the 21st of July. Please help us!

Out of work for almost two weeks because of bulging discs.I have been to the doctor and am on some medicine that will hopefully heal me within the next week.I am not going to lose my job but am getting farther and farther behind.I am totally broke and my car insurance and light bill and rent is coming due again. My husband died last year and my son is starting his fourth year at LSU. I just need temporary assistance until I can go back to work. I do have all my papers from going to the emergency room that I have been to 3 times in the last couple weeks. Please help me.

Try calling a community clinic in the White Plans area. Maybe they can do the surgery for you (which would be unlikely) but if they can't, they can probably advise you on government medical programs and other ways to get help with those bills. More on New York community clinics, such as the Mount Vernon Neighborhood HC 914-699-7200

Yes, try the medicine first before looking into surgery for the bulging discs. Maybe also look into some short term disability. Find our extensive list of medical bill help, whether for existing bills or debts or free prescriptions.

I am 28 years old with a fiance' and one child and I live in Atlanta Georgia. My lovely Fiance', just started work with little hours and almost minimum wage. We have a 5 year old daughter who is starting school 10-10-11. I have been diagnosed with a degenerative bone disease which requires surgery on right knee (10-18-11). Immobile and unable to work, we are in dire need of assistance with our rent, need to find a doctor to do the surgery safely but cheaply and utility obligations as we are passed due on both. Any and all help will be appreciated and never forgotten.

Try a free community clinic in your city of Atlanta. All across the nation there are thousands of medical and health care centers that help the low income and people with no, or limited, health insurance. Select the state of Georgia from this list http://needhelppayingbills.com/html/free_clinic.html in order to find clinics in Atlanta and the suburbs too. Many of them offer medications, dental care, and a number of medical and health care programs and solutions for the needy. Call or stop by a center in your state to learn more.
