I am self employed, have been for 13 years. The economy has taken a toll on me financially. Not only has my gas been shut off, but they took the meter off of the house and will not reconnect until a payment of $1,700 is made. I don't even have gas money. I am 3 months behind on my rent, and 2 on my vehicle. I usually bounce back pretty quick after a financial setback, however I have never been in a situation this bad. Any help/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

While they will never pay $1700 as that amount is outrageous and you must not have paid your bills for many months or years to get that high, maybe there is some partial assistance in Oregon.
