Discover card debt and bills

Post by l.roy98 »

I have run out big bills on my Discover Card as I have lost my job. I read about these different programs that credit card companies and Discover card offer, but when I call them and ask about them they never seem to work out. I do not know what to do.I am at my wits end in dealing with Discover card. What should I do. My interest expenses are so high and the bill does not seem to be going down. Please help.

Well, there is no easy button for dealing with Discover card, or any credit card company for that matter. They defintely do provide help though in certain cases. HEre are some real examples. Also review the site for pros and cons of hardship and debt maangement plans, some tips on how to negotiate with credit card companies, and other advice.

My fiance's father died last month and we had to use our rent money for him to fly to North Carolina for services. We have a five year old and are not considered low income although we have no credit card bills other than a small bill from Discover card, share one vehicle, and rent a town home. We live paycheck to paycheck. We only have 800 for the rent this month which is 1565. We do not have any sources for outside assistance, and so I am searching everywhere for an option. I would get a payday loan, but we had to get two to get him out to North Carolina, so we are stuck in a tough spot for sure. We got a 3 day pay or quit notice already.

no, never use a payday loan for a plane ticket or an expense like what you suggest. You will enter that cycle right away, which is terrible. Maybe try addressing your Discover Card bills and debts. That may help free up some cash for you. A good option may be the discover card hardship program, which can help you reduce interest rates, waive fees, and what not.
