Loan until I get my tax refund

Post by Earningsp »

I have 3 children one of which I am "fostering" with no assistance. Due to court costs with my own children and the foster child I have been unable to pay my March rent and have received a 3 day notice to pay or quit. If I can't pay my rent I will lose custody of all 3 children. I'm more looking for a loan until mid March when I can pay the money back with my taxes. Do you know where I could get some help quickly. Thank you.

I need a loan of $3,138.00 to cover back rent and current rent for November 2015. My property manager and I set up a payment plan back in September when I began having problems due to sporadic temp work. By December, the apartment building owners hired and attorney who worked with me on a new payment schedule. I was still only able to make small payments. My eviction is for December 11. I can repay the money in April 2016 as I expected a refund.
I visited the Eviction Defense Coalition who will work to extend my stay. I meet tomorrow morning to pay for the week and move ahead. If I can pay this debt of $3,138.00, I can save my unit and remain. I have lived here for 1 year as of March 7, 2015. Good tenant besides financial problems due to a lay-off after I moved in last year. I belong to three temp agencies and I am college graduate. This building has allowed me affordable housing in SF, close to my mentally ill mother who resides in the SF Jewish Home.
Please, I need help and I am willing to volunteer and pay back the loan. I can also use my tax refund as I indicated. I am also up for a year contract job for Gap Inc., my last temp assignment. I will hear about this in a week. Thank you!

While we rarely (if ever) recommend this, you may want to consider a short term payday type loan. We only would even think about this for people that are 100% guaranteed to have a way to pay it off, and since you have a tax refund coming you may be a candidate. But this should always be an option of last resort. What did the team at the Eviction Defense Coalition suggest? Maybe they know of other charity to give you a loan? But here is information on this option, so read up on the risks of using a payday lender if you decide to proceed. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... y_can.html

My ex-husband left the country without leaving the promised funds to pay the bills he is required to pay. I still have a minor child at home, and our electricity will be shut off Monday. I am due a tax refund, but it is taking time, in part, I hear, due to the fiscal cliff. I just need a loan of $200 until the refund comes in to stop our utilities from being shut off. Please. I have nowhere else to turn.

Hello, I'm inquiring about receiving assistance for my rent until I get my income tax refund. I have a daughter and have been sick in and out of the hospital which caused me to fall behind 3 months in my rent. I have received an eviction notice and I am pleading for a loan.

Are you definitely getting a tax refund, and you can pay off the entire loan balance. If you are 100% sure of that, then maybe try a payday loan. That may help you make it through this short term stretch.

I live in Nassau County, NY and need a loan for security deposit assistance.
For the past year, my husband and I (two seniors) have been living in hotels costing approximately $3500-4000 per month as we did not have the funds for a deposit, but now our income tax return will allow us to pay for it but we need that loan now.
We definitely can afford an apartment rent  but are unable to save for a security deposit because of the expensive hotel bills.
Our annual income is around $60-70,000 so we do not qualify for assistance from social services, etc. But that could pay off a loan.
We need a minimum of $1,000 and are capable of paying it back. Or income tax return will be $2200.
Please let me know if there are any resources to assist us.

I lost my job a week and a half ago and expect a tax return payment next month. I take care of my older brother who is handicap and on dialysis. I start a new job next week, however won’t have the funds to cover rent or electric until I get my second pay check due to child support as well. Any loan will I wait on my tax refund or child support assistance would help or avenues I have no family to reach out to. I am a truck driver and make good money and willing to pay anything back.

You should really NEVER borrow in anticipation of a tax refund. Why would you want to do that? Just wait week(s) for your income tax payment.
Especially if you are also starting a new job. Just ask for payment extensions. But if you must, then here are short term loans.
