Low income government loan

Post by Violet »

I am looking for a government loan for home repairs. I did hear about a low to no interest loan but I don't remember where I heard about it from. I would prefer the loan rather than a grant, because I do want to pay it back. I need windows, siding, (siding and insulating the outside would be a better option than tearing out the plaster walls to insulate them) a garage roof and I have asbestos on basement pipes, so I would like to have that removed. It probably is very costly, so if there is a grant to remove asbestos that would be terrific. I live in Wayne County MI, not a rural area. I did see loan options for rural localities, but I do not qualify because I live in the city.

Thank you!

You may be speaking about weatherization, or it may be the FDIC small interest / low rate loans. If it is the later, try this for more info. Basically the FDIC is support loan programs that people can turn to in place of payday loans, which are obviously very expensive and costly to borrowers.

I'm a disabled veteran, and getting divorced. My electric bill is high and about to be shut of,I also owe local taxes, and just got a modification on my mortgage, I hope it should go through but not certain yet. Can anyone out there assist or guide me to apply for grant help or government loan of some sort to get me on my feet again? Something to ensure mortgage goes through from the loan too would be best. Please I would appreciate it.
