Conditions of rental grant

Dear Committee Members,

I would like to be considered for your rental assistance grant listed on your website. Based on the terms and
conditions of the grant, I believe that my family meets the
requirements and could really benefit from the support during this
difficult time.

I currently live in Seattle WA with my husband and 4
children. We moved here to provide a better quality of life for our
children based on the community and educational system. Over the past
6 years, we have worked hard to meet our financial commitments and
maintain gainful employment. My husband is a proud member of the armed
forces and I am performing environmental services.

My husband is currently unemployed due to cuts in the military budget
and I have been out of work for nearly 5 months on disability because
of an injury to my foot. He recently returned from a deployment to
Afghanistan to be informed his position has been cancelled. The
combination of my husband’s unemployment and my short term disability
payments are not enough to support our monthly expenses. We currently
owe $1,475.00 for our January rent and are in desperate need of
assistance to avoid potentially being evicted.

If you could direct me to a resource that could assist my family to
avoid eviction, I would greatly appreciate it. I apologize but the
urgency of this request is in effort to ensure that my family is not
significantly impacted during these winter months.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns regarding this request
please feel free to contact me.

One of the things we would recommend is for your veteran husband to explore VA benefits and grants. The state of Washington, as well as HUD, offer resources such as SSVF and many others. There tend to be other housing programs for military members, as many agencies go out of the way to support those individuals for all the work they have done for our country. If you need phone numbers and addresses of those agencies in Seattle to call for a rental grant, we have them here. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... tance.html

I’m currently homeless with my kids sleeping in the car and seeking a cash grant. I do have a monthly income but that all went into hotels and food and gas for us I don't have anyone to help me. My husband is incarcerated and I’m in desperate need of security deposit assistance or first months rental assistance grants. Thank you and god bless.

I have try looking for a rent grant. Every time I apply they ask for my bank card I can barely pay bills, and that is why I am asking for grant to relieve myself. And another I get a call telling me that I would get a check in the mail. I called again and was told another story that have to purchase a I tune of 250.00 dollars then I get my money. I got the info and you can check it out if you like.
Please I need help.

Wait, they are asking you for money to apply? If so, then it is a scam. Don't do it! It is obvious. But since you seem to need advice, find a list of tips for how to avoid scams.
