Seeking debt consolidation

Post by iseegod2 »

I had been homeless for approximately 2 years before receiving my SSD. I do have a roof over my head now, however just barely. I am grateful for this, and will let nothing get in the way of paying my rent. I do not want to be homeless again. However, trying to keep up with my doctor bills, utilities, and some food on the table, along with the payday loans I have acquired to keep afloat has caused me financial debts that are unbelieveable. I owe the IRS and the State of California back taxes. I also now have medical bills because of the specialists and surgerical procedures I have incurred, which I do not have a clear view of how I am going to pay all this off. I am charged by Medicare $110 per month, plus I have to pay a deductible of $155 before Medicare will pay their 80%. There are months that go by before I can afford to pay for my medication which I must take daily. I have three student loans, now four, that must be paid monthly. I guess I can consolidate these. There are things that I have decided to eliminate: cable TV, and Verizon phone service. I will keep the Internet however.

My question is: Is there any company or organization that will assist me in creating a budget or help me with consolidation of all my bad debts to keep me on time and disciplined? I need a roof over my head; I need gas, lights, and, especially, food to eat. I also need some extra income to supplement my SS. I do not need for the IRS or State or my student loan obligations to be deducted from my SSD. If this happens, I will probably be on the streets again. I really do not need this! I want desperately to pay all my debts. There are a lot more that I am not mentioning here. But, believe me my credit is horrible, and I want to get out of debt. But, I want one payment. Or some organization to take control of my income to make sure that these debts are paid, leaving me with enough to buy food and have a little spare change in my pocket for personal necessities.

Is there anyone out there that knows of such an organization that can help me? my email address is: iseegod2@yahoo.com. Thank you so much for your time.

There are many non-profit debt and credit counseling agencies. Here is a link to the nation programs. If you call them they probably have a branch in your area, or may know where to refer you.

It is correct that having good credit, and getting your debts under control are two very important steps to take for long term financial health. You need to do these things before anything else, as good credit builds the base for people.
