Information on where to get help and aid in Grand Rapids and Kent County Michigan is below. There are a bunch of phone numbers and other contact info. However, a few, just to get you started, include
Lighthouse Communities, Inc. Dial (616) 451-9140
Community Rebuilders (616) 458-5102
http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... ogram.html

The bottom line is that there are many places to turn to in the area for rent and housing help, and some of these places mayhave some funds they can offer you for paying rent.

There are places to call for help, and phone numbers and names of agencies are here.

Why can't you afford rent going forward? You must be paying it now.
One of the places to call ,that may have funds or advice for people of Kent County / Grand Rapids Michigan is Grand Rapids Urban League. Dial 616-245-2207
Community Rebuilders runs an eviction prevention program, that may be able to get qualified people grants for paying their rent and housing expenses. They can probably advise you on your options too. (616) 458-5102.

I am an 28 year old single mother who will soon be alone in Georgia in two short months with no family except my son, and I am pregnant again. I am currently employed at Burger King and Ii have pay stubs to prove it and make 800 a month. Alone that is not enough to raise or take care of my son. I need help with my rent because we cant be out on the street out here. GA is so big and so easy to get caught up in. I am currently in school as well and have racked up quite a bit of student loans already to finance my BS in Business but I am in need of rent assistance for now.

Our you using government aid in addition to that income you have from Burger King? If not, then look into Cobb County rent assistance and programs. Agencies may have some funds for eviction prevention, deposits, and emergency rent. There are options like the Cobb County Community Action Center, Inc., 404-256-491 as well as Christian Aid Mission Partnership/CAMP, which is based in Austell Georgia ((770) 819-0662).

I’m 27 and in my first trimester of pregnancy. I live with my aunt and uncle but am in need of a home/apartment before my child is born. I’m a certified nursing assistant. I need help with first month rent and deposit coming up with $800 to $1000 is very difficult. Because I do pay rent and have other bills. If there is anything or anyway I can get help please let me know. Thank you.

Rental Assistance. I am pregnant and have been living in hotel rooms waiting until my new apartment is ready. It has been an ordeal to have to borrow and find other forms of living until it is ready. They have not been too organized and I have ran out of options for outside aid. I have gotten payday loans and I have been applying for other loans to help. I have not been successful in finding other ways to receive help, as not too many people help already pregnant mothers. A friend referred me to this and I'm hoping that this will help me get back on my feet quickly. Thanks.

Had a problem with an ATM processing our deposit of 600 that we needed for rent. We are now going to be two months behind and the late fees pushed it up to 1400 that we will owe. We have enough to pay for one month but still haven't heard back from the bank on where our money went. I have no phone number because we didn't have enough to pay that either. Currently 9 months pregnant so there's not much I can do at this point
