Seeking housing for felon

Post by Moses »

Hello,
My fiancé is an inmate in a NYS correctional facility and he will be released on December 22, 2019. I am on section 8 housing which does not allow anyone with a felony to reside in a property they assist with. My apartment complex also has the same rule. My fiancé will be on parole for 5 years unless his case is overturned. Do you
Have any resources or programs that can assist a felon with his re-entry into society?

Good Morning. My children and are have been homeless off and on for the past 7-8 years. I am a felon seeking housing. We all live with different friends and family now at the moment. I am a disabled and a senior now. My adult sons are disabled as well. Also, they have felony record. We are having difficult time securing housing because of eviction and felony. Please help us if you will. We want to find housing together under same roof. Two of us are on fixed income, and one has job. My other son is sick and in need of medical assistance. I live in Orange County Florida and my felony housing should be there. Thank you for time and consideration.

Generally, free transitional housing is great for felons. Also if you have been homeless for 7 to 8 years, then that will be great for you and your children too. As if you prove yourself while at transitional housing, get a job, stabilize your life, etc. then that will assist you in the long term.
