I've been hanging on by a thread due to a part time job and it's been impossible to find full time employment. We really need help paying our rent this month. I am a single moms with kids living in Dallas. I've had to stop working to take care of my family more and my fiancé started having seizures. He’s missed a lot of work and now we will not be able to pay our rent this month. I have lived with my parents the last 9 months. Before that I was in Tyler TX living with my ex-husband. He was very abusive and my step dad went and brought me here, Dallas.
I have been helping him around the house and with their 4 children. I never got paid for anything I've done. I am going to be starting a new job this week. My stepdad wasn't happy about this because he needs my help at the house. This is wrong.
He informed me today that he was making me leave. I have a new job coming up but I will not have any place to stay. I have nothing. I only have my clothes. No money yet.
The only place I can go is to my ex-husbands house. I can't do that again and would rather be a single women instead.

Maybe between those options, as the transitional housing units, you can get the help you need.
