Force out from landlord

Landlord is trying to force me out so he can remodel; but he cannot prove he's the new owner of the property, nor will he give me something in writing stating he's forcing me out. Without anything in writing, I cannot receive assistance.

Well, sounds sketchy to say the least. Not sure how LL can force you out. Maybe you want to look into a free lawyer for advice. They can probably advise you of your rights on this force out.
