Permanent housing for the disabled

Post by Shades »

I'm 33 years old fully disabled, and have a very low fixed income through the Social Security Department. I have been given a place to stay for a couple weeks until I can get some assistance. I'm 100%, disabled-no physical handicap, I can give verification of disability if requested.
I can get a copy from the local SSA. I'm from Torrington and I'm in immediate need of permanent, non-elderly disabled, very low-income housing. Please contact me through phone if possible, unless you need to initiate contact through email only. I'm in immediate need of help. Thank you, kindly.

I'm a single dad of a 3-4-6 years old kids, but I am also disabled. I would like permanent housing for my family. I have a job and I get paid weekly on commission. I'm staying on a weekly hotel room with my kids and is getting slow at work and on top of everything there is day I can't get to work because I can't find someone to watch my kids when I'm working. For this week I don't have any hours for my pay check. Even though I am disabled, if I don't pay my rent I'm going to the streets with my kids and I don't want that to happen. How can we get more permanent housing for all of us? Thanks.

Good afternoon Sir,
I have contact every agency in the City
Trying to receive help with a "Security Deposit" for permanent housing, I am on SSDI, would I
be able to receive help with a Security Deposit.
I have a 1 Bedroom apartment In Montclair, NJ for $850.00. I have been on the "waiting
list for two years, it has finally come through. I suppose to move
February 1, 2017. I have a new apartment, and I'm not able to get the keys.
I still have not been able to get help with the
"security", I have went to every agency in
this City, I have called the "Salvation Army in Montclair, on Trinity
Place, FOCUS, Newark Emergency Services for Families, LaCasa,
Irvington Neighborhood Corp, you name it I have called.
I have left
several messages, and I have not received a response from the many
voice-mails that I have left. The apartment I am
moving into is an "Affordable Housing" Unit in Montclair. But
every time I call it goes straight to voicemail....Can someone please,
please help me please...I am on SSDI.
I don't know what else to do for housing....I have been
in Newark, NJ all of my 53 years, it is getting terrible here. I just
need to move and enjoy the rest of whatever time left God spare my
life, without all this crime, and shootings. I have an opportunity to
move, would you please help me...Please. I have called, and called, and
called.

There are some specific programs that offer housing for the disabled. Most are HUD run, but some charities like the Salvation Army may have them. Try another center as you noted you were out of luck in contacting one. But deposit help is rare...even for the disabled.

There are 43 vouchers and I am one of the last to get and I stay on the Streets usually in El Cajon with my boyfriend and his 32 years old son. Been a long, tedious time out here. I can't handle it. The cold is unbearable for disabled people.
Please help us until get in a place until we are set up with the match. Need of immediate family shelter and I have a 12year old whom father is abusive and I need to get him. Please help me, us. Raymond and Tyler with disability Permanent housing. My son is Jake Moxley 12 yes, 7th grade. Please. I have been trying EVERYTHING but there is NOTHING out there. Except for rent and that's tricky. Have 2 appointments set up. Need help please. Want to acquire a 3 or 4 bedroom apt or house. Both Ray and I have an income but low credit score. Please. Not good on computer either!! Sincerely, Tiffiney
