Congratulations on the job. Also, the apartments are much more affordable in Des Moines, so your cost of living should be much lower. Will the landlord give you time since you start that job on Monday? Some are flexible and work with the tenant. Also, seek the other agencies in your area for guidance, and read more rental assistance in Des Moines.

I currently work as a caregiver that pays $9 an hour. I only work 6 hours so I'm not getting paid very much. I was offered a job and would love to take it but I live about 2 and a half hours from there. I'm currently looking for a place to stay in the area close to the job. I've been looking a studio apartments but from what I get paid now I can't afford to pay first month’s rent and the security deposit. If I get this job I can pay rent just not the move in at this moment so my last option was to ask for some type of help. for this month.
