Hello,

I am contacting you because I would like to see if I could get more information about emergency housing in Des Moines, IA. We are looking at losing our house this week and I know it is very late notice so if something isn't available immediately, I understand.
No money in the bank, just recently laid off from work, and have no where to live. Could you please help me contact people in the Des Moines, IA area that would be able to help with vouchers for hotel/motel rooms for the urgent need of a place to sleep?

There are many agencies in Des Moines. While motels are rare, maybe try a shelter. Then an agency may provide more long term housing for people that stay in those Polk County Iowa shelters, so maybe try them.
