Where can the disabled without kids get rent help from

Hello,

I contacted Rent Assistance in York County. I am on SSI disability for the last 10 years. I am currently living with my sister and paying her rent. However, his son MUST move home and I am in his room. I need to move ASAP so he can move back home. I am on limited income and was told by both these people at Rent Assistance and Welfare that they cannot help me as I do not meet their guidelines. If I had kids or an eviction they may help then.

What's a person on disability to do??? Help....

I have a job, but currently on disability due to multiple surgeries. I was informed that my insurance is no longer paying disability for me and therefore I have no income. My doctor has not scheduled me to go back to work until I see a specialist on December 6th. I have depleted my savings, 401k and family members. I am not able to pay my rent for December as well as my utilities. I am in need of temporary assistance in Seattle. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my post. Have a good day.

I just got SSD, and they sent the check to welfare because they were helping me before I got disability. I was already behind in my rent and I am still Behind, The check that disability send to welfare would have helped me with my rent arrears. Now I have no way of paying my back rent, and I received a eviction notice on 4/1/2014. I went to welfare for a one shot deal to help me but they said no. because they helped me in May and the help was not enough to pay all of my rent. I had one down fall and I have been falling since. I really need some help, I have no family or friends to help me, Can you help me get back on my feet PLEASE ?

Need helping paying for rent. I'm a college student with is disabled, so I am too young for kids. I been putting myself through college and working a lot but most of my funds goes towards the university and I don't have enough to pay for rent. I just need help paying for rent up until March, until I find something cheaper.

York County PA or SC? Or even some other state, as there are many York Counties in US. Heck I have been in 3 of them myself.
Anyway, we will assume the biggest one which is I believe PA. Try this in order to get help with rent in York County Pennsylvania. As we have a list of resources on the site.
