Rent and furniture needed

I am a father of 5 and am currently working at the casino in Caruthersville Missouri. As of right now, I am moving place to place and even have to sleep in my car because I have no other place to go. My kids are staying with their mother and grandmother until I can get in a place but I cannot afford the rent deposit and to buy furniture all in one. I am desperate!!!

I am being evicted. I need to have somewhere else to live in Portland Oregon by November 1st 2013. Me and my girlfriend are looking for apartments and MAY have found one however I'm not sure how we will be able to pay the security deposit, for the furniture or possible pet deposit. I am on social services and in the middle of an SSI appeal. She is job hunting as we speak. I'm not sure if we have programs here or not. If you could be of some help that's awesome. Thanks.

If it is both furniture for a home and money for rent, try the Salvation Army in Portland. they have thrift stores for the household goods, and maybe some cash for a rent payment...or at least a portion of it. But it may be challenging until your girlfriend has a job. And why are you working? Disabled people can still work and apply for SSI. More on Portland Oregon Salvation Army.
