Well i am a single parent of two young children and i just moved to Greensboro, NC and in desperate need of help.I've been searching for a job to provide for my children but its beginning to get tough, my rent and court fees wasn't able to get paid and it 438.60 and i have no family, no money, or any help to pay it. I have six day to pay or remove my things from my apartment soon we will be homeless and no where to go can you please help or guide me to someone who will in this short time of notice.

Why did you move with no job and no funds for rent? That will make your application very difficult to consider as it doesn't show you have a means for financial and self-sufficiency. Anyhow, there are some agencies you can call in North Carolina for rental and housing assistance. There are also some shelters in case you need them in a week or so. I'm a newly college student with 3 small children. I will be evicted in the next 3 days if I don't pay my balance of $800. My balance was 1300 I got it down to $800. I live in Raleigh NC. I've tried all the agencies in Raleigh and no one has available funds!!! Due to the passing of my father and my children's father this year May 30th I have fell discouraged and been trying spoil them with money I don't have my youngest 2 just had 7th birthday September 16 last month and my baby son just turn 6 on October 3 this month!!! They are all in school and make straight a's!!! I make 7.25 at my job as a teachers Assistant PLEASE HELP ME MY LANDLORD WANTS THE MONEY MO EXPLANATION!!!!!!!!! 911 PLEASE HELP.

I need help so bad I had to move from my recent apartment because my daughter has environmental allergies. He can no longer live with and I came up with the deposit for my new place but I need help with my first months rent. I contacted crisis assistance ministry in Charlotte North Carolina where I reside and they said that no one gets help with first months rent. Where can I go and get the help before I be homeless and lose my deposit?

Could not pay this months (July) rent, will receive eviction notice (to go to court) in 2 days, eviction in 2 weeks. Desperate to avoid eviction in Charlotte. I am unemployed now, but will be okay in 2 months (able to pay rent and bills). Family would like to help, but unable to. I have sold everything I have of value that I can sell to raise money temporarily. Is there any help for one month?

Dear Sirs/Ladies,
I would like to convey my family's situation in hopes that maybe your organization will care enough to help. I am an English teacher who lost her job in March. My unemployment did not cover all my bills but we were able to pay them through June. Our landlord petition the court to evict us even though they received our June rent late. My landlord wanted 1500.00 to stay in the apartment.
I asked The salvation army, Greensboro Urban Ministry, Greensboro Coalition and local churches. They each took turns pushing my family to the other one with the response of no money, check with us next month for 6 weeks. One of the organizations( Open door ministry of High Point) didn't even bother to return my call after she was asked to contact us by the Homeless prevention in Raleigh, NC.
Through the help of an old friend I was able to get a job at a call center. We are living in a local hotel for two weeks but it isn't the answer. We need help. I am not an addict or drunk or mentally ill; just a four person family that needs help; after paying taxes or 30 years it would be nice to have some assistance. Can someone truly help us?

There is a teacher shortage in North Carolina, so how do you lose your job? You should have a good answer as when applying for rent help in the Greensboro area that question will be asked. While it was great you called around, and now have a new job in a call center, that will help in the application. But we have many other places to try, in addition to the 4 or so you already called. My family and I are in desperate need of help paying our rent this month. It was due on the first, but given till the 13th and don't know if we will have a place to live next month. My husband is disabled. I was working, but due to medical conditions I was unable to keep my employment. Please if you know of any programs for North Carolina (Harnett County). I would greatly appreciate any help available.
