There are several different mortgage and foreclosure programs in Pennsylvania. Among them, they include the Homeowners' Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (HEMAP), foreclosure mediation programs, as well as the Homeowners' Equity Recovery Opportunity Loan Program (HERO). Various HUD approved agencies also can help in Pennsylvania

I am an Honorably Discharged Disabled veteran. My wife recently underwent cancer treatment at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC. Our finances has taken such a hit that we are threatened with Foreclosure. We've gone down this road before and were able to literally beg to keep our home by making payments. Now because her income has been reduced to partial payment because of medical leave, we are almost $4,000 behind on our home.

If we loose our home we have no place to go and nowhere to place our items. She has not fully recovered from her transplant and I, because of what we are going through, am starting to have severe problem with depression and PTSD. I am becoming physically sick from worrying. We do not know what to do nor do we have anywhere to turn. We really need help fast. If you cannot provide direct assistance, would you lead us to someone that can help us keep our home?
Ideally we are looking for a financial resources to assistant with the current back mortgage payments and legal fees. We will be able to mange if were are able to get the current fees paid. We are willing to repay.

If you can still make partial payments on your home loan, then there is the MAP mortgage programs for veterans and active members. This may allow you to enter into a payment plan, offer mediation with the lender, and other solutions. It is also available in North Carolina, and read Military Homeowner mortgage plan.
