Lost job need mortgage help

Post by Igtye »

I recently purchased a house unknowingly that I would lose my job days later. I have been surviving from my savings, using it to pay my mortgage loan, but nothing is left. I have been job searching and having interviews but haven't had any luck in finding a new job, and every day I am further behind on my mortgage. Assistance with anything would be appreciated. I am a single mother receiving no assistance from family or friends. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear about job lost. Definitely keep asking friends and family. In addition, the federal government created a new program to help the unemployed and people who have lost their jobs. Usually provide a low or zero interest loan that eventually needs to be repaid, even once the house is sold. And the loan can also be forgiven over time. The program is known as the hardest hit fund, and it can help thousands of people in almost every state. More info, and how to apply, is referenced here. Find your state to get phone numbers and application process for the hardest hit fund.

We are looking for help paying our monthly $872 mortgage payments. My husband had to take a $4/hr pay cut to keep his job after being there for almonst 15yrs. We have gone through a loan modification with BOA turned us down saying we make more money than what was reported. We have always been able to make our bills. Have had to utilize money from my husband's 401k account to stay current. Interest is at 6.5%. We just need a lower interest rate and decrease in our monthly monthly payments! Can anyone help us??? Thank you for your time.

Yes, unemployment is probably the leading reason these days for people to face foreclosure and possibly lost their home. A few options for you are free HUD counselors. Another option is the new federal government mortgage unemployment fund. It is known as the [urlhttp://needhelppayingbills.com/html/hardest_hit_fund.html]hardest hit fund[/url], and billions of dollars are flowing to pay the mortgage for people who are unemployed. An interest rate of 6.5 is low. Not sure how much lower you can get. But the hardest hit fund does provide loans, some of which may never need to be repaid if you qualify! So it is a good deal, and states like Florida, California, Ohio, and most major states all run the program.

I think you should apply for the HUD Emergency Homeowners Loan Program, which offers a low interest loan that doesn't need to be repaid if you meet certain criteria. Find out how to apply for Emergency Homeowners Loan Program, and the government and non-profit agencies that accept applications and administer it. It is for the unemployed who need mortgage assistance.

Arizona has been devastated by the housing crisis and foreclosures. Maybe the hardest hit state. The good news is Arizona homeowners do have some options, many of which are free, that they can call upon. Find our information on Arizona foreclosure assistance agencies, services, and programs.

I am needing some assistance with my mortgage. Who do I contact to get help? I have not received a paycheck in a year. I am working on a commission job and not receiving pay. I have been looking for other jobs for the last year but have not been able to get any. My family has been helping me make my mortgage payment so I can stay current. They are no longer going to be able to help me. Do I actually have to have late payments for someone to assist me? I am trying to be proactive and help myself and help the bank before either of us gets in a situation that will harm us both and or have a negative impact on us. My bank is Chase and I attempted to get a modification but they turned me down saying I do not have a financial hardship. I have not had income coming in in my name in the last year. If they refuse to help me and I can't find help once my payment start going late at that point I'm just I'll let the house go to foreclosure. I'm trying to work with people to keep us all in good graces to where nobody has to be penalized in a major way. I don't want to lose my house and I know the bank does not want anymore foreclosures on their books, it just does not seem right that I have to penalize myself and be late before they will consider helping me when I can show that I have a financial hardship. Thank you for your time and I hope you can help.

Chase does have a number and wide variety of mortgage modification programs and financial counseling. If you called them already and they gave you the so called run around, then you may want to work with a non-profit HUD foreclosure counseling agency. They may be able to put more pressure on Chase for you. Until then, find a listing of Chase mortgage programs and services, their phone numbers, and more. For example learn about the Chase Deed-in-lieu of Foreclosure and other options.

I am a retired 56 year old male and I just had a significant reduction in my Social Security income due to a Garnishment. Now I am unable to pay my Mortgage or Electric bill. I am working with my Mortgage Company and I am still waiting to here from them. I have tried to get help with my mortgage but I don't seam to qualify for any of the programs that I know of. My electric bill is what I am looking for help with because I am unable to pay it at all. I am not behind in any of my bills yet, but I will be if I don't pay them this month. I live in Mesa AZ in a mobile home by myself and don't have a job. Been here for 8 years but now I may lose my home because I can't get any help. If there is any information or anyway that you can help me I would really appreciate it and would be forever thankful.

Since you need much more than mortgage help, you may want to try HUD counseling. These non-profits in New Jersey offer many services for everything from a mortgage to debts. So try them. The advice should be free (based on your income) or there may be just a low cost. http://www.needhelppayingbills.com/html ... e_cou.html
