Re: Need roof repairs

I live in Delaware, and I know here, there are programs that loan based, but with 0% for low income and elderly to get a loan, if she would be able to or some family members pitching in with help to repay the loan, she could apply for this type of program. The brochure that I have is listed under De...

Re: Help for a Wells Fargo mortgage

Find another bank that will work with him on refinancing, but DO NOT get an ARM loan, an ARM loan stands for adjustable rate, which means, since right now with interest rates being low, his payments maybe considerably low, but when the economy bounces back, that loan is going to adjust to the intere...

Re: Credit card maxed out

I know your maxed out on your credit card, but if you know that you can pay your priority bills, then those come first, and everybody else can wait. That means, rent first, gas, food, utilities, get rid of what you can do without, like extra's on phone (landline) call waiting, call forwarding, VM th...

Re: Can I refinance my HELOC and add my cc debts to it?

Never, Never tie cc debt into a secured loan, if things don't sort themselves out for the better with this economy. unsecured debt such as cc debt cannot be discharged in a bankruptcy filing. Never, Never, let the cc companies tell you to consoidate into a secured loan.

Re: I only have 6 more days before I lose my home of 17 year

First of all, it takes the banks awhile to foreclose on a house, so in the meantime, I would talk to other agencies (banks) and try to refinance. You don't have to have the closing costs or another downpayment to refinance, as this can be rolled into the new loan. If you had a 30 year mortgage, then...

Re: Overdue credit card bills from college

If the credit card is in your son's name only, then you should not be responsible for his debt. If this was a card that you gave him as authorized user then yes, you are responsible. Credit card companies have up to 3 years to sue you and get a judgement for you to pay. But if you know that you are ...

Re: Home Loan.

I would not get a loan against your house for 100k as then your unsecured debt which is credit cards would be tied to your house and can't be written off in a case of bankruptcy. The law states that you have 8 years to file for bankruptcy in the event you need to with this economy. The law also stat...

Re: Mortgage, pay off question.

Yes, it is true. You don't neccesarily have to pay the full amount in one lump sum as an extra. What you do, is take your mortgage payment, divide by 12 (months of year) and send this extra with each payment every month. I always send a seperate check and write on check TO BE APPLIED TO PRINCIPAL. T...

Re: Plumbing help

During Hurrican Irene, rain backed up into my basement sewer. I have poured chemicals down pipe, plunged and a neighbor came to help with plunging as I had carpel tunnel surgery and don't have the strength for this, we deduced that there is a buildup of water in the vent pipe that runs to the roof, ...

Help for your Pet

I have found out since being unemployed that the Delaware Humane will help with food and litter for your animals, so that you may keep them, instead of dumping them or giving them up.
