Re: Automobile repairs

I have read and heard that sometimes contacting your local high school and talking to the auto shop teacher. Since students need to work on cars for the experience maybe this could help. I really don't any other information, never heard of getting any help for that problem. I've been there myself. B...

Re: Old rent from landlord

What happened to the security deposit you may have put on this apartment. Have the collection agency and/or landlord, write and specifiy what happened to the security deposit against the apartment you had. One thing I learned, is whenever I move into a place and move out, I take a disposable camera ...

Check with legal aid/services in your area, Also, I know in my state, the Family Court provided me with a Do-It-Yourself Booklet for about 5.00, now I'm not saying you do it yourself, but this will give you a breakdown of everything that is to be considered for a divorce and will at least help you w...

I know what you mean, I'm ready to move south soon, just finished school, Delaware doesn't have any jobs, but North Carolina does in my field of bookkeeping. I'm not ready to move yet, but I will hopefully in the next 2-3 years, anyway answer to your question, I don't know of any organizations that ...

Re: Grants for job training courses

first go onto the website for the government, which gives grants, you don't have to pay back, I belive it's fafsa. Second look to your local Dept of Labor, this is where I got my grant to go back to school for Bookkeeping. You want to look on the website for free money, not a student loan you have t...

Re: Unemployment doesn't cover rent

Instead of concentrating on getting a full time job, for your girlfriend, since she's working several evenings, have her look for another part time job during the day, 2 part time jobs will equal a full time job. This is what I've had to resort to during this economic downturn, and I keep looking fo...

Re: Veterinarian bills

This happened to me several years ago, when my cat got lethgargic, I found a Vet and they explained that they have a program called CARE CREDIT. It's a credit card specifically for vetrinary care. You have to apply online and get a credit card through the company, it will tell you what your credit l...

Re: Terrible credit preventing me from getting an apartment

Try to find a place that is owner rented. In my area, there are listings in the newspaper that have apartments and houses for rent. Explain your situation to them during this economic downturn and they may work with you, if you only had bad credit during this time.

Re: Social security can't pay heating bills

Check with organizations like Catholic Churches, Salvation Army and other church organizations. You don't have to be catholic to receive help. Some of these have a LIHEAP program; which is low income heating energy assistance program. Hope this helps.

Re: Need of free car repair

I have heard of schools that offer auto/shop repair, sometimes will take cars to work on, so the students can get expierence. Try some area high schools in your area to see what kind of situations they gain in doing this. Because the students after all have to get the cars from somewhere to work on.

Re: Insurance didn't cover medical bills

Don't sweat the medical bills. I have had plenty in my lifetime and even though they may show up on your credit report, it only can stay on for seven years. Also, don't let anyone talk you into consolidating into a loan. Make sure to get a copy of your hospital bill and go over it a fine tooth comb....

Re: How can I apply for LHEAP

Do not at this time worry about the credit card debt. Priorities should be mortgage, utilities, food and gas. And DON't let the credit card companies talk you into consolidating into a loan, because then this becomes a loan that is tied to the equity you've built up in your house. If you have to fil...
