Re: Miami rent assistance for homeless people

Hi Dawn, So glad you got away from that relationship. If you have a source of income you are more than likely to qualify for rent help in Miami from places such as HAND or community action. If you have no income or money, a DV shelter may be your best option for short term support. Then look here fo...

Re: Options when unemployment held up by Bank of America

Hi,
Call Bank of America. Talk to customer service. File a complain about the unemployment issue. Also notify the FTC. And, worst case when all else fails, try a free legal aid lawyer. But start with BOA first, and look here for how to get help from Bank of America.

Re: Hard of hearing in Ohio and phone bill due

Hi Shanna and others, While "past due" phone bill help is rare, there are possible programs in Ohio including Lifeline and community action resources. They may give a credit ($10 to $50 per month) as well as even a free phone or tablet. But it will be an older model. in either way, they ar...

Re: Hotel or motel vouchers

Hi Kimberly and all, There are many places that may give out free motel vouchers, but generally they are only when shelters are full or a local disaster occurs in your community. But some places, like Salvation Army or Social Services, may offer them as well for women facing abuse (that need a safe ...

Re: Churches That Help

Hi, Yes, there is no way a local church will pay bills worth $624. They have very little funding (if any) and only for people in the parish. But look here for churches near you that help the low-income . I contacted my local agencies and churches for help . But no one really could help with my large...

Re: Storage unit rent help

Hi, We noticed someone mentioned St. Vincent - they may help with rent on a storage unit. So may other charities or government programs, but it is rare. Generally this is little, if any, help for storage. Maybe ask about a payment plan with the property owner or a different sized unit. But if you do...

Re: Emergency Help with Electric Bill - Where to look

Hi, If you need emergency help either paying the bills, or transferring the service into your name, it really depends on your state and the electric company. As each state has different programs as do utility companies, but also try the crisis LIHEAP program (or your state's version). Either way fin...
