The Wall Street Journal has an article today talking about the second round of layoffs which are taking place. What is a regular joe/jane like me, Shantai, to do?
These are not the cooks, wait staff and others, these are the lawyers, IT folks, and other white collar people being let go or furloughed because business has dried up. I work in IT. How can I expect to save when everyone is losing their job? Years of me following the "rules of financial literacy" and saving will be blown up because of the coronavirus. It's a long article but in short, the unemployment numbers are going to keep getting worse and will affect every area of the economy.
