While many low income families can get help, a focus is on assisting veterans who are struggling with paying their rent. Westchester County Department of Planning may offer assistance to tenants with medical issues only. The office is 148 Martine Avenue. United Community Center of Westchester and New Rochelle
They have information on low income and public housing, but provide other services in order to stop evictions. This can include referrals to loans for paying rent, case management, help with moving, and mediation for housing issues. Call 914-813-2896.
