Patients of the Columbia Road Health Services will be assigned to a team of medical and dental professionals that consist of a medical provider, dentists, and or doctors, as well as medical assistants, who will all partner together to ensure that they receive comprehensive health and dental care. The dental services at the facility are a little more recent, and these started in the mid 2000s. They work closely with other local dentists and providers in the area and will often refer patients to free or low cost dental care providers. At one time this center was known as Health Care for the Homeless, and it has been in operation for almost 30 years. Know known as Unity Health Care, the location is strongly dedicated to serving low to moderate income residents of Washington DC, and support is for people who need access to a wide variety and range of critical health and dental care services. The number of services have continued to grow, and it is now part of the Federal government’s emergency grantee for the Community Health Center Program and is a federal government qualified dental and medical center.
