Washington and Bolivar County food pantries.

Food pantries in the Washington County Mississippi area often provide a number of services to struggling families. Not only may they have a box of food that can be passed out in an emergency, but the charity run organizations often offer other support. That can range from clothing for children, free holiday meals, to applications to food stamps for families living in poverty.

The primary distribution centers in both Washington and Bolivar County are below. While there are not a large number of food banks to turn to, they do try not to turn anyone away. Volunteers at these non-profits will often be a source of other information as well.

People facing a hardship should not hesitate to contact a food pantry. Clients come from all races, religions, and backgrounds. Food can be provided to senior citizens, the disabled, children on summer beak, and many others.
