Dental clinics in Virginia provide low-income or uninsured patients access to either free or low cost care. . Patients on Medicaid, low-income families and the uninsured will get care. Most of the free clinics offer basic cleanings, extractions of teeth, fluoride treatments, free emergency oral surgeries, root canal and similar services. Many of the centers across offer services on a sliding fee scale, so patients pay only what they can afford to towards their bills - or the care is free. A referral number is at the bottom of this page for information on other programs in Virginia that may be near you.

There are also dentist and clinics that provide free full or partial dentures, implants, or teeth replacement services. Oral surgeons also help low-income families. The focus is on helping low income families, children, the elderly, adults on Medicaid and people with no insurance. There may also be additional help for senior citizens on Medicare who need free dental services as well as help for low income families on Medicaid as well as veterans.

Find free federal government Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) or Rural Health Clinics that provide dental work the low income and uninsured below. Most of the sliding-fee, income based clinics and free dental centers as well as colleges in Virginia will not turn anyone away. The dentists, including volunteers, and staff do their best to offer preventative as well as emergency dental assistance.
